Triple Jewel Of Egypt Slot Review
Three jewelled treasure chests sit along the cornice of an Egyptian temple, one purple, one green, one pink, pyramids on the sun-bleached horizon behind them. Triple Jewel Of Egypt is a three-reel game where most of what you see doesn’t pay a thing: the gems and scarabs that dominate the screen hold no value of their own, existing only to unlock the collecting rounds where all the money lives. It’s a bold structure for a game this small, and Red Rake Gaming have committed to it without compromise.
The execution, at least, is a cut above the theme’s usual standards – a genuinely glossy 3D render rather than the recycled papyrus most Egyptian slots offer. It runs at 95.4% RTP on a 3×1 grid, with the 1000x Grand as the win ceiling. Players of Million 777 Pot or Triple Fiesta will recognise the collecting DNA immediately.
Base Game & Features
Spins play out on three reels and a single row of positions, and the paytable is short. Gold, silver and bronze coins are the paying symbols, and three of a kind is the only combination that pays. The values, as multiples of your total bet:
- 0.1x total bet
- 0.2x total bet
- 0.5x total bet
- 1x total bet
- 2x total bet
- 5x total bet
- 10x total bet
There’s no wild in this game. Wins come from coins landing on the row, and that’s the whole of the base game’s paying logic. Everything else on screen is working towards something bigger: the scarabs and gems don’t pay a thing in their own right, and every symbol type exists to feed one of the two collecting systems.
Scarab Collect
Scarabs appear only on the centre reel, in three types that award one, two or three respins. During those respins, a scarab collects the value of any coins and multipliers that land. Multiplier values during these respins can be 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15 or 25.
It’s a small, self-contained mechanic. A respin counter ticks down as the round plays out, and when the respins are spent the scarab pays out whatever it gathered. The feature never builds into anything larger – it’s pocket money between the main events.
Treasure Chests and Colour Gems
Above the reels sit the three chests, each collecting gem symbols of its corresponding colour. The gems themselves pay nothing when they land – their only job is to trigger the minigames:
- A purple gem on a spin can trigger the Extra Spin minigame
- A green gem can trigger the Double Reel minigame
- A pink gem can trigger the Multipliers minigame
More than one minigame can fire from a single spin. Once one is running, gem values come into play: they range from 1x up to MINI (15x), MINOR (50x) and MAJOR (150x) as multipliers of total bet, and every minigame begins with 3 respins on the clock.
Triple Jewel Of Egypt Bonus Features
Each minigame runs on the same skeleton: gold coins lock in place as they land, respins tick down, and a payout arrives when the respins run out or every position fills. What changes is the modifier each colour brings, and more than one can be active at once.
A triggering gem opens a grid of reel positions, and from there the round plays out one spin at a time. Every gold coin that lands sticks where it is, carrying its printed value with it. A coin that doesn’t land still costs a respin, so empty spins matter as much as full ones – the round is a race between the coin supply and the countdown.
Extra Spin
The purple chest raises the respin count to 4. Every new gold coin resets the counter back to 4, so a run of coins keeps the round alive indefinitely. It’s the simplest of the three modifiers and the most valuable in a streak.
Double Reel
The green chest adds a second independent set of reels, duplicating every gold coin across both. Each reel set carries its own respin counter, so a round can end on one set and keep running on the other. Two grids, one bet – and the Multipliers feature can trigger independently on each.
Multipliers
The pink chest randomly adds 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers to gold coins on the reels. Only one multiplier can land on a coin per spin, but a new multiplier on an already-boosted cell adds its value to the existing one. All multipliers apply at the end of the round.
Mini, Minor, Major and Grand
Gold coins carrying MINI, MINOR or MAJOR text can appear at random, and the ladder is where the real money sits:
- Mini – 15x total bet
- Minor – 50x total bet
- Major – 150x total bet
- Grand – 1000x total bet
The Grand is the maximum win, and there’s exactly one way to it: fill every cell in a minigame with gold coin symbols. When the round ends, whether by spent respins or a full grid, every coin value on the reels is summed and paid as one total. Stacking Extra Spin with Double Reel and Multipliers on a single triggering spin is the whole reason to keep collecting gems.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.9/10
Playing Triple Jewel Of Egypt is mostly waiting in a beautiful tomb. One row, three reels, and spin after spin where the coins add up to pennies and the chests above stay shut – the reason to sit through that is the collecting itself, gem by gem, watching a round you know could stack into something far bigger than the base game ever suggests.
The strength is that stacking. When Extra Spin, Double Reel and Multipliers all arrive together, one spin builds a payout that grows on itself, and the 1000x Grand for a full grid is a genuine destination rather than a lottery ticket. The weakness is everything between those rounds: the base game pays so little that a long session can feel like a screen saver with excellent production values, and 95.4% gives a little less back than most of the market.
This is one for the patient collector – the sort of player who enjoys feeding a meter and doesn’t need the reels to entertain them while it fills. Anyone after quick, regular hits from a three-reeler will find the desert here keeps its treasures buried too deep. For the rest, the chests are worth the wait.
