Rise of Atlantis 2 is a 6×5 Video Slot with a Scatter Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 8 or more of the same symbols land anywhere across the grid.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is Poseidon, followed by the Crown, Trident, Jewels, and Column. Low-paying symbols fall to Purple, Red, Green, and Blue Gems. There are no Wilds present here.

During any random spin in the base game when a winning Cascade is achieved, there is a chance that the grid height will increase by +1 row for the next spin.

If a winning Cascade is achieved on the next spin, there is a chance that the grid height will increase again, and so on and so forth, up to a maximum of 8 rows high.

If the Free Spins round is triggered whilst the grid height is increased, the Free Spins round will begin from the triggering reel height. If no winning combination is formed whilst the grid height is expanded, it will revert back to 6×5 in size.

Landing 4, 5, or 6 Scatters across the grid during the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 12, 15, and 20 Free Spins respectively.

During Free Spins, Rising Multipliers that appear will increase in value each time they move up the grid. When no more wins occur, the values of all Rising Multipliers are added together and applied to the total win for that spin. Rising Multipliers can reach values of up to x1,000.

A bit of a missed opportunity, but the ‘rising bubbles’ makes sense in this underwater slot.

Blueprint Gaming has also introduced extra bonus buy features, allowing players to dive straight into the heart of the action. This aspect of the game is, unfortunately, lost on UK players who are unable to buy bonuses, but we still think Rise of Atlantis 2 is a solid improvement on the original. Of course, not everything is perfect, there are ways in which Blueprint could have further propelled Rise of Atlantis above its predecessor with higher winning potential. The maximum win is 10,000x which is no small figure, but it’s the same in the original game, and we’d have liked to have seen higher.

Overall, crisp graphics, exciting gameplay and solid potential makes Rise of Atlantis 2 a must-play for fans of the original.
