Vikings Unleashed Megaways was rather unique in that it let you gamble your spins and multiplier for the chance of a starting configuration that could propel the wins to astronomical heights. The ‘max max’ was always exciting, and to crank things up a notch comes the reloaded version, which lets players gamble the starting Megaways for even greater potential.

Aesthetically, Vikings Unleashed Reloaded looks just like we remember it. You’d be hard-pressed to tell the difference if you don’t pay attention to the logo, but Vikings Unleashed Reloaded certainly feels like a different game when the Viking raid begins.

Vikings Unleashed Reloaded Base Game and Features

Vikings Unleashed Reloaded is a 6-reel Video Slot with up to 117,649 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols (or 2 or more of the Highest-paying symbol) land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.

The minimum bet available here is £.€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€10 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

Vikings Unleashed Reloaded brings back some familiar faces, with High-paying symbols falling to the Viking with the Gold Frame, Wizard, Viking Lady, and the Viking with the Purple Background. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten, and Nine. Wilds substitute for all High and Low-paying symbols in the paytable.

Each time a winning combination forms, all winning symbols will be removed from the reels, making room for new symbols to drop in from above via a Cascade feature.

Vikings Unleashed Reloaded feels very similar to how it did, but the new gamble option can make all the difference. Vikings Unleashed and Vikings Unleashed Reloaded stand out as games that can do incredible things, provided you’ve got the bottle required to gamble, and you need some serious bottle to make it all the way.

Even in demo mode, we sat on the edge of our seats wondering if we should take a great config or gamble for a great one. The pain of losing it all was inexpressible, and with real money, you’d be inconsolable. Very rarely do we encounter games that make us advise caution, but Vikings Unleashed Reloaded certainly feels like one of those beasts.

With a standard configuration, Vikings Unleashed Reloaded is still capable enough to wow Megaways fans, but the extra spins, Megaways and Multiplier make an unbelievable difference. In our testing, we got the maximum configuration on a 20p stake, and it paid £4,000. Of course, the gamble to the top won’t be easy, and the Megaways gamble wheel is particularly brutal.

Overall, Vikings Unleashed Reloaded was a game we never knew we needed a sequel to, but we’re glad it’s here. It’s an unforgiving monster, but it can be as tame as you like if you prefer to stay away from gambles.
