Gus Goes Fishin’ is a 5-reel slot with 20 fixed pay lines. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Tacklebox, followed by the Boot, Starfish, and Worm. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, and Jack. Collect Wilds substitute for all symbols except Fish and Scatters.

Fish Collect

During the base game, special Fish symbols with random values can land anywhere across the reels. During both the base game and Deep Spins, Fish symbols are paid when landing at the same time as a Wild Collect symbol.

• Blue Fish – Land with a random value of x1, x2, x3, x5, x7, and x10.
• Big Fish – Land with a random Jackpot Prize of Mini, Major, and Mega, awarding 25x, 50x, and 100x your bet respectively.

Fishin’ Bonanza Modifiers

During any random spin in the base game, up to 3 special Fishin’ Bonanza Modifiers can trigger to award the following.

Gus Goes Fishin’ – Deep Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters during the base game or Bonus Boost modifier triggers the Deep Spins Bonus, awarding 8, 10, and 12 Free Spins respectively.

During Deep Spins, each time a Fish symbol is collected via the Wild Collect symbol, it will contribute towards a Multiplier Progress Meter. When enough  Fish symbols are collected, the next available Multiplier will be activated from the next spin onwards, until the end of the Deep Spins round.

Gus Goes Fishin’ gives off Crabbin’ Crazy vibes, minus the crabs. Not only is Gus Goes Fishin’ similar to 2 of iSoftBet’s own titles, but it’s also reminiscent of Reel Kingdom’s Big Bass Bonanza series during the Free Spins round.

Having strong similarities to these games is not necessarily a bad thing in our minds, given how hugely successful the Big Bass Bonanza series is, including the fishing theme.

iSoftBet throws us straight into the action with multiple Fishin’ Bonanza Modifiers that can trigger at random. All 3 of these Modifiers are unique to themselves, but the Big Catch Modifier that delivers a random Multiplier of up to x5 seems to be the best of the bunch.
