12 Masks of Fire Night Fever Slot Review
Drums carry further after dark than any other instrument, which is why processions have always marched behind them. Somewhere along the line that tradition picked up a neon sign.
12 Masks of Fire Night Fever lights its painted opera masks in psychedelic purple and keeps the drums tapping away underneath, and the drums turn out to be the ones doing the heavy lifting.
It’s a 5×3 game with high volatility and a default RTP of 96.08%, though operators can also run it at lower settings.
The series belongs to Gameburger Studios, the Games Global partner studio behind it, and the ceiling this time is 6,185x your stake, a real step up on earlier Masks games.
Anyone who’s played 9 Masks of Fire HyperSpins will recognise the mask ladder the moment it appears.
The drum machinery comes from further along the same shelf, where the Drum Frenzy name has turned up before on 12 Pots of Gold Drum Frenzy and Hyper Strike Diamond Drum Frenzy.
Base Game & Features
Night Fever keeps the layout the series has always used: five reels, three rows and 20 fixed paylines, with stakes running from 0.20 up to 50 a spin.
Roughly three spins in ten land a paying combination, going by the 30.79% hit frequency. The larger prizes all sit inside the features rather than the base paytable.
Wilds substitute for everything except the Epic Strike and Bonus symbols, and they do a second job on the side. Every one that lands is collected towards the Tower Bonus.

Tower Bonus
The Tower Bonus fires at random in the base game, and only there. Landing more Wilds on a spin raises the chance of it going off, so the build-up above the reels is tracking something real.
When it triggers you get a spin in the Tower for one of two things: a cash prize worth 5x to 5000x your total bet, or a route straight into one of the Drum features.

Bonus Features
Most of what’s on offer runs through the Drum rounds, with Epic Strike sitting alongside them as a separate, scatter-driven road to the top prizes.
Epic Strike and Split Strike
Three or more Epic Strike scatters anywhere on the reels open the Epic Strike Tower, which pays anything from 1x to 5000x total bet.
Epic Strike Cash symbols carry values of their own, at 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 25x, 100x or 250x total bet, and those get added on top of whatever the Tower awards.
Split Strike is the new piece. Any Epic Strike symbol can randomly split in two and count twice, which is how the tally gets past the 12 masks the series is named after.

Drum Features and Bonus Spins
Two Bonus Drum symbols plus a Jumbo Drum, Cash Drum or Drum Frenzy symbol on reel four start a Drum round, and collecting tokens can trigger one as well.
You open with three Bonus Spins at Level 1. Collect symbols push you up through eight Bonus Levels, and every level adds a row to the reels and resets you to three spins.
Prizes climb with the levels, from 4x at the bottom to a 5000x top prize at Level 8. The three variants each feed that ladder differently.
- Jumbo Drum drops oversized drums that break apart into singles
- Cash Drum lands cash values on the drums themselves to boost the prizes up the ladder
- Drum Frenzy runs both at once

Fever Boost
Fever Boost is switched on by hand in the base game at a price shown on screen, costing your base bet plus one additional bet on top.
It raises the trigger chance on Epic Strike, the Tower Bonus and the Drum features. While it’s running the reels hold only Epic Strike, Bonus Drum, Jumbo Drum, Cash Drum, Drum Frenzy and Wild symbols.
Every Epic Strike win it produces is guaranteed at least one Split Strike symbol, and the RTP doesn’t shift either way. It isn’t offered in every region, or above certain bet levels.
Bonus Buy
Four features can be bought outright rather than waited for, and it’s the biggest practical change Night Fever makes to the series formula.
- Tower Bonus Feature
- Jumbo Drum Bonus
- Cash Drum Bonus
- Drum Frenzy Bonus Feature
Bought rounds play at your current base bet and the RTP stays the same whichever one you take. As with Fever Boost, availability depends on your region and how high you’re betting.

Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.9/10
The base game asks very little of you. Wilds pile up, the tower fills, and the drums tap away behind all of it until the soundtrack starts to grate.
The bonus rounds are where it earns its keep. All three Drum variants climb the same ladder, and the lower rungs pay little enough that you’re really waiting on level six and up.
Jumbo Drum turned up often enough to keep that climb believable. Our best result in a short demo session was a 1,000x from the Tower Bonus, which arrives with no warning whatsoever.
Series regulars will find everything where they left it, with the four bonus buys as the headline upgrade. Anyone wanting something new, or a bigger ceiling than 6,185x, is better off elsewhere.
Split Strike gets the loudest billing at launch and changes the least once you’re playing.
The neon and the drums live up to the Night Fever name. The procession behind them hasn’t changed its route.
