Devil Cash Uncovered Slot Review
Devil Cash Uncovered makes you wait two hundred spins before it shows you its best symbol, and I’d argue that’s the point rather than a flaw. While you wait, a caged imp rattles the bars in the corner, a crowned one peers over the reel frame, and a gold cauldron spills coins across a magenta harlequin hell – carnival cabaret with pentagram medallions bolted to the corners.
Underneath the dressing, this is a patient game. High Limit Studios have built a slot that starts sparse and earns its best symbols over two hundred spins, closer in spirit to their Climb Time Devil Cash Uncovered than the devils in the wallpaper suggest. It runs on a 5×3 grid with 20 fixed paylines at 96.01% RTP and medium volatility, with stakes from 0.20 to 100 per spin.
Base Game & Features
Wins form left to right across 20 fixed paylines, with only the highest combination paying on each line. If several winning combinations land on one payline, only the highest counts. The hit rate sits at 27.29%, so roughly one spin in four connects, though most of those are small. Scatters pay in any position and do the feature work.
The paytable is thin, and it’s honest about being thin. Two devils carry it:
- Devil Head (large) – 40x bet for three on a payline
- Devil Head (small) – 15x bet for three on a payline
Wild symbols appear on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, substituting for everything except Scatters, Wheel symbols and Cash Uncovered symbols. That’s the whole wild story in the base game; the interesting version arrives with Free Spins.
Lucky Levels
This is the game’s long game. The Lucky Levels ladder unlocks in stages measured in base game spins, and each rung adds a new symbol to reel 1:
- Lucky Level 1 (20 spins) – the Hot Hot symbol can appear on reel 1
- Lucky Level 2 (50 spins) – a Collect symbol is added to reel 1
- Lucky Level 3 (100 spins) – a Double Collect symbol is added
- Lucky Level 4 (200 spins) – a Triple Collect symbol is added
Every one of those symbols exists to feed the Cash Uncovered round, which is the game’s centrepiece. Land at least one Cash Uncovered symbol on every reel and the round triggers: Wilds and Roaming Wilds reveal Prize symbols, and every displayed credit value is awarded. Prize symbols sit on reels 1 and 2, the Collect family on reel 1, which means a full round needs the whole board pulling together.
Prize symbols climb a sixteen-step ladder of stake multiples:
- 0.2x, 0.5x, 0.8x, 1x, 1.2x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x
- 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 30x, 40x, 50x bet
The Hot Hot symbol carries its own set of outcomes:
- 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 30x, 40x or 50x bet
- Or the Mini, Maxi, Minor, Major or Mega prize
Collect symbols do the multiplying work: the standard Collect gathers every other Prize symbol’s value, Double Collect does it twice, Triple Collect three times. A full board with a Triple Collect on reel 1 is where this game’s big money lives.
Wheel Bonus
The Wheel symbol can randomly land on any symbol except Scatters, Wilds and Cash Uncovered symbols, in the base game only, and may randomly trigger the Wheel Bonus. It’s a one-spin prize wheel with five wedges:
- Mega – 2500x bet
- Major – 250x bet
- Minor – 50x bet
- Maxi – 20x bet
- Mini – 10x bet
The collection animation that plays out is visual only and doesn’t influence the prize. It’s the game’s one genuinely random moment, a break from the meters and trails that organise everything else.
Devil Cash Uncovered Free Spins & Roaming Wilds
Roaming Wilds Trail
Landing exactly two Scatters moves you one position along the Roaming Wilds Trail. Every fifth position adds another Roaming Wild, up to a maximum of nine. The trail only accumulates in the base game and doesn’t reset until Free Spins trigger with all nine Roaming Wilds banked – after which it randomly resets to two, three or four.
Free Spins
Three or more Scatters trigger eight Free Spins, with all bets and lines carried over from the triggering spin. Three or more Scatters during the round retrigger another eight, so a lucky bonus can run considerably past its starting length.
Roaming Wilds only appear in Free Spins, on reels 2 to 5. On the first spin, the number shown on the trail drops onto the reels at random positions, and on every spin after that they move. The Roaming Wild substitutes for everything except Scatters and Cash Uncovered symbols.
The two systems are aimed at each other: the trail you build across hundreds of base game spins decides how many wandering wilds you take into the bonus, and wilds in Free Spins also feed Cash Uncovered by revealing Prize symbols. Trigger the round with nine Roaming Wilds in play and the reels get crowded fast. Two Scatters in the base game, the near-miss every other slot treats as nothing, are doing quiet work here instead.
One number this game never gives is a maximum win. No ceiling figure exists for it, so there’s nothing to chase on paper beyond the top of the Wheel and the full Triple Collect board.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.3/10
Playing Devil Cash Uncovered is like warming up a machine by hand: the first twenty spins are almost nothing, and the reason you’d choose it over any other hell-themed five-reeler is that nothing here is wasted – even the two-scatter near-miss feeds the wild trail. The imps keep you company while the counter ticks down.
The best thing about it is that the ladder means something. Cash Uncovered with a Triple Collect on the board pays several times what a Level 1 version pays, so two hundred spins of unlocking buys real money rather than decoration. Few progression slots can honestly claim that.
The worst thing is that it gates everything behind time. A short session meets a bare five-reeler, and the Wheel Bonus is the only feature that fires unprepared – its bottom wedges won’t rescue one. This is one for players who enjoy a long build and a payoff that scales with the wait, not for anyone who wants the good stuff in the first ten minutes. But stay the distance and the cauldron does eventually spill.
