Fishin’ Frenzy Power 4 Slots Slot Review
Sunlight slants through the top of the water, rocky outcrops frame a sandy seabed, and the same cheerful cartoon sea the Frenzy series has fished for years rolls on undisturbed. Blueprint Gaming haven’t changed the lake at all, and that’s the smartest thing about this release: quadrupling the water does more for the old formula than any new mechanic would.
Fishin’ Frenzy Power 4 Slots runs four 5×4 windows on every spin, each with ten always-active lines, at 96.06% RTP and a 20,000x total bet ceiling. The bonus can pay across all four windows at once, which no single-screen Fishin’ Frenzy or Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways ever offered.
How the Base Game Pays
Each of the four windows is a five-reel set with ten win lines, all of them active on every spin. A winning line is two, three, four or five matching symbols from the far left reel, and any fish symbol counts as part of a winning line. Only the highest combination on each line pays. Your total bet covers all four windows, at four times the bet per window.
The rules around a win are consistent across every window:
- Line wins are multiplied by the value bet on the winning line
- Wins on different lines combine into the total win
- Scatter wins are paid in addition to line wins
- Feature symbols pay in any position, for any number of played lines
- Multiple scatter features can be won in a single game
Wins can land on several windows at once, and they’re all paid as one total. The Wild symbol helps form line wins by substituting for other symbols, though it never stands in for scatters or bonus symbols. When a wild line and a longer symbol line compete on the same line, the higher of the two is what you get.
Scatters and bonus symbols operate entirely outside the line system. They’re awarded wherever they land on the reels, whatever lines you’re playing, which is what makes three of them on a single window enough to open the bonus without forming any win at all.
Power 4 Slots: Four Windows, One Spin
The four-window layout is the whole idea, and it changes the arithmetic more than it first appears. Every spin runs all four grids, so a single spin is really four spins’ worth of reel space. More symbols in view means more chances to line something up.
There’s no choosing which grids to play. The setup is fixed:
- All four windows are active on every spin, main game and bonus rounds alike
- Wins are possible on all four windows in a single spin
- The total bet is spread across all four windows
- Bonus scatters only need to land on one window to trigger
- Four sets of reels are hunting that trigger pattern every spin
Because each window is judged on its own reels, the trigger works per window rather than across the game as a whole. Two scatters on one grid and one on another don’t add up; three on a single window do. With four windows rolling at once, the bonus gets four chances per spin rather than one.
Autoplay is there for the long stretches, subject to operator configuration. You pick your stake, choose the number of automatic bets, and let it run. It stops on its own if you reach a bonus round including Free Spins, hit your set loss limit, or a progressive pot lands where applicable, and you can halt it mid-run with the stop button.
The Fishin’ Frenzy Bonus
Landing three or more Bonus Scatters on one of your windows opens the Fishin’ Frenzy Bonus. It starts with a pick: choose a fish, and it reveals either Free Games or Super Games. One pick, one round type, and no way back once the choice is made.
Both rounds run on the same fisherman, but they don’t run on the same scale:
- Free Games: the Fisherman Scatter becomes active and awards the prize for each Fish symbol in view alongside him
- Super Games: the same fisherman mechanic, but all four windows are active, so a single spin can win on all of them
- Both rounds run at the same bet per window as the triggering spin
- Neither round can retrigger
- Each round pays its accumulated bonus winnings when the last spin finishes
Free Games
During Free Games the Fisherman Scatter wakes up. On any spin where he lands in view, the prize is awarded for each Fish symbol that also lands in view on that spin. He doesn’t need to be on a line; he just needs to appear.
The round runs to the end of its awarded spins, then pays out everything accumulated. There’s no topping it up once it’s rolling. Every fish he catches during the round feeds the same pot.
Super Games
Super Games point all four windows at the fisherman at once. Every window is live, and a single spin can collect on all four. Where Free Games spread the action thin, Super Games concentrate it.
The Fisherman is active across the whole round, collecting the prize for every Fish that lands alongside him on any window. That’s up to four grids’ worth of fish per spin, all feeding one accumulated total, paid out when the final spin closes.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Most of a session here is the same slow fishing the series has always been: long quiet water, small wins, and the fisherman asleep in his boat. The reason somebody drops a line anyway is that the bonus comes round more often, because four sets of reels are hunting scatters on every spin, and when Super Games hit, four windows collect at once.
That four-window round is the best thing here. Four live grids feeding one accumulated total can pay at a scale the single-screen Frenzies never managed, and 96.06% is the best return this series has carried in a while. The weakness is the pick itself: the fish you choose reveals either Free Games, which play like an ordinary one-window round, or Super Games, and there’s no telling which you’ll get until it’s made.
It’s for the Frenzy faithful who know these waters and want more of them in view at once. Anyone who needs a busy base game between bonuses will find the water flat. The fish are still biting, and there are four rods in it now.
