Hot As Hades Power Combo Slot Review
Three grinning Cerberus heads hover above a lava-flooded canyon, one with its tongue hanging out, and the underworld only gets louder from there. The odd thing about Hot As Hades Power Combo is how little of that effort reaches the reels: Stormcraft Studios have built almost the entire game around one respin round, and the spins around it are thin.
It’s a 5×3 grid with 20 paylines, running at 96.20% RTP, high volatility and a 27% hit rate. Stakes run from 0.2 to 25.00, with total winnings per transaction capped at 10,000x the base bet. Anyone who has played Immortal Romance: Sarah’s Secret Power Combo or Big Kahuna Epic Eruption Power Combo knows the collecting; this one swaps forest and island for hell.
Base Game & Features
The base game is a conventional 20-line affair. Wins pay left to right from the first reel, and only the highest combination counts per line. The paytable is honest about its ambitions: the top symbol, the Safe, pays 4x for five of a kind, and it steps down from there.

Feature symbols – the Connector, Collector and Jackpot symbols – appear in the base game only and carry no payout of their own. Their job is to be collected, and they’re the whole reason the base game exists. The wild can form its own winning combinations and substitutes for everything except the Feature symbols. It appears in the base game only.
Here’s what each symbol pays, as a multiple of the initial bet:
- Safe: 1x for three, 1.5x for four, 4x for five
- Fire & Water Bottle: 0.8x / 1.2x / 2.5x
- Book (Tartarus Tabard): 0.5x / 1x / 2x
- Red, Orange and Yellow Gems: 0.3x / 0.7x / 1.5x
- Green Gem: 0.2x / 0.5x / 1.2x
- Blue and Purple Gems: 0.2x for three, 0.5x for four
That’s a thin ladder. Two of the six tiers don’t pay at all for five of a kind, and the best symbol in the game returns four times your stake. The Link&Win feature is doing the heavy lifting here.
Connector, Collector and Jackpot symbols land during base game spins and are collected into pots. Which of them you’ve gathered when the feature fires decides how that feature plays out, which makes even losing spins feel like progress. It’s a collecting structure, patient by design.

Hot As Hades Power Combo Bonus Features & Free Spins
The Link&Win feature triggers on collection of one or more Feature symbols. Three free respins are awarded, every symbol swaps out for blanks, and the grid grows to 5×5. Any symbol that lands resets the respin count to three.
The round runs until the respins are exhausted, every position is filled, or the 10,000x transaction limit is reached. How many modifiers are active depends on what triggered it.
Collect one type of Feature symbol and only that feature runs. Collect two and both run. Collect all three and everything runs at once, which is where the Power Combo name earns itself.
Connector Feature
Cash Coins land with random cash values, multiplied by the total bet, and are held in place. Completing a horizontal, vertical or corner-to-corner diagonal set of five Cash Coins activates a multiplier for that set, and each additional set increments it further.
The ladder runs 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 11x, 12x and 15x. Where multiple sets complete on the same spin, increments apply in a fixed order: horizontal rows from the top, then vertical reels from the left, then diagonals from top left.
If the Connector and Collector features run together, Cash Collect Coins can join a completed set and pick up its multiplier. Jackpot Coins never form part of a set.
Collector Feature
The Cash Collect Coin gathers the sum of every Cash Coin and Cash Collect Coin already landed into a single total. Up to three can land in a round, and where two or more arrive on the same spin they collect in strict row and reel order, top to bottom then left to right.
The one thing they can’t touch is the jackpots. With the Collector and Jackpot features active together, the GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR and MINI prizes are off limits to the collect.
Jackpot Feature
Four Jackpot Coins of the same type, collected in the round, pay that jackpot. The coins are removed from the reels on collection, and each jackpot can only trigger once per feature session.
- GRAND: 5,000x
- MAJOR: 500x
- MINOR: 50x
- MINI: 15x

Upsizer Feature
Offered on entry to the Link&Win feature, the Upsizer lets you buy your way up to a more valuable configuration before the round starts. What’s available to purchase depends on what triggered the feature, and each option carries its own calculated cost.
A confirmation prompt spells out the purchase before it completes. It isn’t offered in every region, and bigger bets can lock it out.
Buy Feature
The Buy Feature skips the collecting and purchases immediate access to the Link&Win round, with seven possible configurations:
- One active feature (Connector, Collector or Jackpot): 30x bet
- Two active features (any pair): 70x bet
- All three active features: 150x bet
Every configuration runs at the full 96.20% RTP, so the buy costs money without changing the maths. The bet amount updates the price, and bet changes apply on confirmation. Unlike the Upsizer, using the Buy Feature doesn’t reset your collection pots on return to the base game.

Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing this is feeding Cerberus. Spin after spin goes into the collection pots while the reels themselves pay crumbs, and the single reason to choose it over a plainer collect slot is that the round those pots buy can turn up wearing all three modifiers at once.
That stacking is the strength: a multiplied set with a collect coin inside it, jackpot coins dropping either side, is a round with real moving parts. The weakness is everything either side of it. The paytable tops out at 4x for five safes and roughly three spins in four win nothing at all, so the wait between rounds is long and grey.
It’s a good fit for players who like a slow build and a bonus round worth the patience, and a poor one for anyone who wants the reels themselves to pay. The underworld is the best-looking waiting room in the family, and the fire at the end of it is genuinely worth collecting.
