About Stormcraft Studios

Headquartered in Durban, South Africa, Stormcraft Studios was founded in 2016 by a team of industry veterans with experience working on some of the biggest names in online casino gaming, including Thunderstruck, Immortal Romance, and Mega Moolah.

The games studio has since built its reputation on selective, cinematic slot development, focusing on polished experiences rather than churning out games at a rapid pace.

Stormcraft operates within the Games Global network, while maintaining its own creative identity.

Its portfolio is particularly notable for taking established casino franchises and giving them a modern overhaul, with the studio behind the latest chapters of Thunderstruck, Agent Jane, and Immortal Romance series.

Stormcraft Studios’ Best Games

Stormcraft has over 100 games in its catalogue, mainly focused on building out established series’ with innovative mechanics and clear upgrades.

• Immortal Romance II – The gothic sequel brings back the original’s vampire characters with Rolling Reels, enhanced Free Spins and a 15,000x maximum win.
• Thunderstruck Stormchaser – Thor returns with 1,024 Ways, Rolling Reels, multiplier mechanics and a huge 255,000x maximum win.
• Immortal Romance: Vein of Gold – A darker, more volatile entry combining Cash Collect, Respins and Rising Rewards jackpots.
• Avalon III – The Arthurian adventure uses orb collection mechanics, Free Spins and a 5,000x maximum win.
• Fire Forge – A fiery dwarf-themed slot packed with Stacked Wilds, Rolling Reels, Free Spins and a staggering 1,025,000x maximum win.

RTPs are generally around the mid-96% range in the examples above, although the exact figure varies by title and configuration, and high volatility is a clear theme across many of its more recent releases.

That combination of respectable RTPs and high or very-high volatility means Stormcraft’s games are generally built around less frequent but potentially much larger wins, particularly when their multiplier and bonus mechanics start to stack up.

Stormcraft Studios Mechanics and Features

Stormcraft has developed a number of recognisable mechanics that appear across its catalogue, including jackpot features.

As a unique take on cascades, Rolling Reels™ are a recurring favourite, removing winning symbols and allowing new ones to fall into their place so that additional wins can be created from the same spin.

Thunderstruck Stormchaser takes this further with Multi-Chase™, where multiplier symbols can be chased across successive Rolling Reels and added together.

The studio also makes extensive use of Stacked and Super-Stacked Wilds, Mystery Symbols, collection mechanics and multiplier trails. Fortunium, for example, was designed specifically with portrait mobile play in mind and uses Super-Stacked Mystery Symbols alongside the studio’s Win Booster™ mechanic.

Win Booster™ is one of the more unusual additions to the Stormcraft toolkit because it gives players some influence over the mathematical profile of a game.

By changing the available symbol set, players can alter the game’s variance and RTP, effectively allowing them to choose between different versions of the experience.

Stormcraft Studios Distribution and Reach

Stormcraft Studios’ connection to Games Global gives its games access to a large international distribution network.

The studio’s own history stretches back to the Microgaming era, with games such as Thunderstruck, Immortal Romance, and Football Star Deluxe developed for the network before Stormcraft continued building its own portfolio.

Today, the studio’s games form part of the wider Games Global ecosystem, allowing operators to integrate its content alongside releases from other studios. That gives Stormcraft a particularly useful route to market without requiring it to sacrifice its own creative direction.

The result is a relatively focused portfolio where quality, storytelling and recognisable franchises are more important than sheer release volume.

“I was a huge fan of Twilight and TVD as a teen, so Immortal Romance II is easily one of my favourite slots. The soundtracks, the vampire love story, and the Bloodline tracker all work together to make a great game, layered on top of everything that made the original so beloved.” Maya, Content Editor

“Thunderstruck FlyX is such an interesting move for Stormcraft. Taking a franchise people associate with traditional slots and building a crash game around it could’ve gone badly wrong, but it actually works.” Aisley L., Fruity Slots Streamer
