Mega Fire Blaze 3 Wizards Slot Review
Twisted trunks and hanging moss crowd in from both edges of the screen, and a dark purple cabinet framed in thick gold sits in the clearing between them. Playtech have filled that clearing with three wizards, and the argument of the game is that green, red and blue aren’t three separate magics at all: they’re three flavours of one idea, all feeding a single bonus round at the heart of it.
It runs on a 5×3 grid with 30 fixed paylines, and the maximum win in the game has an upper limit, with more information in the Terms and Conditions. For more room on the reels, Playtech’s Buffalo Blitz is a contrast worth knowing. The ladder structure itself is one Jinns Moon players will already know from Fire Blaze: Jinns Moon, though the wizard reels change how it plays out.
The Base Game: 30 Lines and Stacked Wizards
All 30 paylines are permanently active, and line wins pay left to right on adjacent reels, multiplied by your coin value. Wins on different lines add together. Only the highest combination on a single line counts.
Scatter wins work differently: they form in any position and are multiplied by the base total bet. There are three Wild symbols, one per wizard, and each stands in for every symbol except the other wizards, the Scatter, the Orbs and the Golden Egg.
The Wilds only land on reels two, three and four in the main game. The paying symbols break down like this, as multiples of the total bet:
- Owl – 0.15x for three, 0.75x for four, 2.5x for five
- Green Cauldron – 0.1x, 0.5x, 1.5x
- Red Book – 0.1x, 0.4x, 1.25x
- Pink Potion – 0.1x, 0.25x, 1x
- Royals (A, K, Q, J, 10) – 0.05x, 0.2x, 0.75x
- Castle Scatter – 0.5x, 5x, 25x, from any position
When all three wizard Wilds land together in the main game, the Wild Wizards Feature triggers. Any wizard that doesn’t fill its reel nudges up or down until it does, and the nudges happen before evaluation, so the stacked symbols count towards wins. Stacked wild reels are where the base game’s best line wins come from.
The Feature Bet
A toggle sits beside the reels that doubles your stake. With the Feature Bet off, the total bet is 10x your coin value; switched on, it’s 20x. What the extra cost buys is a lower entry to the hold-and-respin round: 5 Orbs trigger it instead of 6.
It doesn’t change any win values – line, Scatter or feature – only the trigger threshold. The bet you place is the bet everything is calculated from either way.
The Tree Feature and the Three Wizard Free Games
Three or more Castle Scatters anywhere on the reels trigger the Tree Feature, a single special reel spin that awards one of four outcomes: the Green, Red or Blue Wizard Free Games, or a direct route into the hold-and-respin round. The Scatters open a door rather than a specific destination.
The three free games sets are the same mechanic at three intensities. Each adds a large number of extra Wilds to the reels, with only that colour’s wizard appearing as a Wild while it runs:
- Green Wizard Free Games – 8 free games, 52 extra Wilds
- Red Wizard Free Games – 6 free games, 64 extra Wilds
- Blue Wizard Free Games – 4 free games, 80 extra Wilds
The pattern is deliberate: fewer spins come with a heavier Wild density. Eight games with 52 Wilds spreads the hits out; four games with 80 packs them in.
None of the sets carry multipliers or special modifiers, so what you’re choosing between, in effect, is pacing.
The Mega Fire Blaze Hold & Respin Feature
This is the round the whole game is built around. It triggers on 6 or more Orb symbols anywhere on the reels, or 5 with the Feature Bet active, or through the Tree Feature.
The triggering Orbs lock in place, and every Prize Orb carries either a cash prize of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 or 50x the base total bet, or a Star icon. The grid starts mostly locked: four locked symbol rows with two locks each, three locked Wizard reels in green, red and blue, and a locked Grand Reel at the very top.
You get three respins, and every position spins independently. Any new Orb holds and resets the respins to three, as does every Wizard symbol that lands.
Unlocking the Grid
Lightning Orbs do the demolition work. Each one removes a lock from the lowest locked row, then converts itself into a Prize Orb worth 1x the bet. Clear both locks from a row and it stays open for the rest of the feature.
The Wizard reels open in sequence as rows unlock, and each wizard does something different when it lands in its reel:
- Green Wizard unlocks on the first respin and converts one held Orb into a Golden Egg
- Red Wizard unlocks with the first row and adds up to 4 new Orbs in empty positions
- Blue Wizard unlocks with the second row and applies a 2x multiplier watermark to a random column of held symbols, rising by 2 if one is already there
The Golden Egg and the Prize Ladder
The Golden Egg absorbs the sum of up to five randomly selected held Orbs or other Eggs, ignoring any multiplier watermarks on the ones it picks. It then stays locked for the rest of the round. It’s the accumulator of the feature – a single symbol that can quietly gather most of the board.
The Grand Reel unlocks when the third row opens, or when every non-Wizard position is filled. Land the Grand symbol there and it pays 2000x the base total bet, once per feature, with a respin reset on top.
Held Star icons settle at the end for the remaining tiers: Major at 500x, Minor at 100x and Mini at 20x. When the three respins finally run out, watermarks apply and everything on unlocked positions pays out.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
The base game is a holding pattern, and it knows it. Stacked wizard nudges and a fair Scatter table keep the lines alive, but the wins are small and nothing outside the features pays seriously.
The free games sets are a nice piece of design – three tunings of one idea, from eight gentle spins to four Wild-heavy ones – though none carries a multiplier, so they play as a warm-up rather than a destination. The destination is the hold-and-respin round, and it’s a good one.
The locked grid gives it real momentum: lightning chips open rows, each wizard has its own job, and the Golden Egg can hoard half the board while you watch the respin counter. Because wizard landings reset the respins, one round can run long and pay across the whole ladder.
The weakness is the price of entry. The Feature Bet doubles your stake for a trigger that still isn’t guaranteed, and the thin base pays don’t fill the gap. For players who like a long build towards one fixed target, though, the wizards keep their word; they just don’t say when.
