Sunken City Riches Slot Review
Divers who find a sunken city rarely find all of it at once. It comes up a fragment at a time, each recovered piece pointing at the next, until the shape of the place finally makes sense. Sunken City Riches works to that same rhythm, though you’d never guess it from the specs. It’s a 5×4 grid with 1,024 Pay Ways, a 96.01% RTP, High volatility scored at the full 5 out of 5, and a ceiling of 15,000x. Stakes run from 0.20 to 100 per spin.
What that sheet doesn’t tell you is that Stakelogic have buried a progression game underneath it. Treasure Map Scatters collected in the base game unlock a new mechanic at four, eight, 12 and 16, so the slot you’re playing late in a session isn’t the one you sat down to.
The studio has covered similar treasure-hunting ground before with Treasures of Ra, and Wrath of Zeus sits in the same catalogue. So does Bandits Thunder Link. The question with this one is whether a game that only gets interesting after the first twenty spins can hold you long enough to get there.
Base Game & Features
Sunken City Riches runs five reels and four rows with 1,024 Pay Ways. Symbols pay left to right from the leftmost reel, and only the longest matching combination of each symbol counts towards a spin’s total.

Two meters sit down the right-hand side of the reels, and one symbol feeds both. Treasure Map Scatters carry multiplier values ranging from 1x up to 1,000x. Each one you land pushes the Treasure Map Meter along, and its value drops into the Gem Meter at the same time.
The Treasure Map Meter
The meter unlocks a new base game feature at four, eight, 12 and 16 Map Scatters collected. At 20 Gems it hands over the Mystery Pick Bonus, after which the whole thing resets and the cycle starts again from nothing.
It also resets in full if you change your bet. Nothing carries across, so a stake adjustment halfway through a cycle wipes whatever you’ve collected.

The Four Unlocked Features
Each unlock stays available for the rest of that cycle and fires at random on later spins.
- Payway Maker (four Scatters) copies one randomly chosen symbol from the first reel across the rest of the reels to form a payway, then pays out any wins and ends.
- Symbols Upgrade (eight Scatters) promotes a random paying symbol to the highest paying symbol on the board.
- Add Wild Multipliers (12 Scatters) drops one to three Wilds onto the reels carrying multiplier values of one to five.
- Split Symbols (16 Scatters) splits between one and 10 symbols of different types before any wins are awarded.
More than one can trigger on the same spin. When that happens they resolve in a fixed order: Payway Maker first, then Symbols Upgrade, then Add Wild Multipliers, then Split Symbols. The Treasure Map features carry a combined 15.42% of the game’s return.
Sunken City Riches Free Spins
Three or more Free Spins Scatter Symbols anywhere on the reels start the round. Three Scatters pay eight free spins, four pay 10 and five pay 12. Retriggers work on the same scale from inside the feature, adding three, four or five spins for the same landings.
Every spin in there is guaranteed to fire at least one of the features you’ve unlocked, which gives the round a very different tempo to the base game. The 15,000x win cap applies inside Free Spins as well as outside it, and the round accounts for 34.71% of the game’s return.

Mystery Pick Bonus
The 20 Gems banked in the base game carry into the Mystery Pick Bonus. You select Gears one at a time until the Collect Gear turns up, at which point the round ends and pays the total multiplier against your bet.
Because those values come from Map Scatters you’ve already collected, the scale of the round is largely set before the first pick. It’s worth 17.35% of the game’s return.

Super Stake and the Buy Feature
There are two ways to get at the bonus faster, and neither one moves the RTP.
- Super Stake adds 50% to the base game bet and places extra Scatter Symbols on the reels, making Free Spins more likely to land. It doesn’t increase the paytable.
- Buy Feature triggers the Free Spins round instantly for 100x the current bet.

Our Honest Verdict
The first stretch is quiet. Base spins are slow and the wins are small, and the only thing holding your attention is watching Map Scatters drop into two meters at once. That changes once the unlocks start landing. By the third one the board is being rearranged often enough that spins stop feeling interchangeable, and Split Symbols is the best of the four, particularly when it arrives alongside multiplier Wilds on the same spin.
Free Spins are relentless by design, and the guaranteed feature cuts both ways: nothing in there registers as an event unless two of the stronger mechanics land together. Super Stake is the better way in. The 100x buy works, but it skips the part that makes this one its own thing.
15,000x is a fair ceiling and it never once felt close. The real cost is the discipline. Change your stake and the meter you’ve spent a session filling goes back to zero, so this suits players who’ll pick a number and leave it there rather than anyone who fiddles. Stay down long enough and the city pays you for it.
Sunken City Riches gets an Overall Rating: 7/10.
