Super 25 Stars Slot Review
Orange light spills down mirrored pillars, the reel backdrop glows purple like stage curtains, and a faceted star-gem sits in the corner of the cabinet. Red Rake Gaming have dressed Super 25 Stars like a glam nightclub stage, but the boldest thing about it is where the money sits: the richest symbol on the board is the wild itself, and it only ever appears on the middle reel. Everything this game does routes through that one narrow spot.
Underneath the neon it’s a 5×3 grid paying left to right, running at 95.3% RTP, a shade under the usual benchmark. The respin chain and the crystal multipliers carry the interest, in the manner of Million 777 Hot and Million Vegas elsewhere in the studio’s catalogue, with Piggy Vegas covering similar ground. Whether the lights stay on long enough is what the reels have to answer.
Symbols and Pays
The paytable is a classic-fruit line-up with 777s on top, and every value below is a multiple of the total bet. All wins pay left to right on adjacent reels from the leftmost one.
Where a line pays more than one win, the highest is the one that gets paid. Mixed combinations of the BAR symbols and cherries are paid too, which pads out the bottom of the ladder considerably.
- Fire 777: 0.8333x for three, 3.3333x for four, 16.6667x for five
- Red 777: 0.6667x, 2x, 8.3333x
- Plain 7: 0.5x, 2x, 6.6667x
- 5BAR: 0.3333x, 1.3333x, 3.3333x
- Cherries (any mixed): 0.3333x, 1x, 2x
- BAR, Bell, Cherries on the second row: 0.1667x, 0.6667x, 1.6667x
- 5BAR/BAR mixed: 0.1667x, 0.5x, 1x
- Super 25 Stars wild: 1x for three, 33.3333x for five
That’s the honest shape of a classic-fruit payscale: steep at the very top, fractional through the middle, and mixed-combination crumbs underneath. The wild itself is the richest symbol on the board, out-paying even the Fire 777 line for a full house, which tells you where the game wants your attention.
The Super 25 Stars symbol is the wild, and it only appears on the third reel, substituting for everything except the SPIN, 5 STARS, STARS and BONUS symbols. It’s the trigger for everything interesting this game does. A win on a spin where that wild is active sets the respin chain off.
Sticky Wins
When the active wild helps produce a win, the symbols behind that win and the wild itself lock in place and a respin launches. Any new winning symbols join them and stick too, and the chain keeps rolling until a respin adds nothing. At that point the whole run pays out and the spin ends.
The first respin usually has a partial line to work with, since the wild sits on the middle reel and can complete combinations to either side of it. Every step of the climb is paid at the end, not as it goes, so a late collapse still banks what came before it.
The Multiplier Panel
Every respin also nudges a multiplier panel along by one step, and the wins from the spin are increased by whatever multiplier the panel shows. The steps shown are x5, x2, x1, x1, x1, x1 and x1, which tells you most of what you need to know about pacing.
The first six steps do nothing. The x2 and x5 steps only arrive after a long chain, which means the feature’s payout profile is heavily weighted towards its tail.
Crystal Symbols
A glowing star in the lower section of the reels starts the Crystal Symbol feature. That first star marks the reel where a symbol will be crystallised; once the reels settle, a second star can light up at random on the right-hand side to mark the row.
With both stars lit, a multiplier panel opens to the left of the reels and the symbol sitting at the intersection of that row and reel transforms into a Crystal symbol. Its steps climb much higher than the Sticky Wins panel: x4, x6, x8, x10, x12, x16, x25 and x50 at the top.
Because the glowing star picks its reel first and the row is only settled after the reels finish falling, the feature has a small element of suspense built in. The choice of which symbol gets crystallised isn’t yours, and a x50 step landing on a high-paying Fire 777 is a very different outcome from the same step landing on a mixed BAR line.
Jackpot Meters
Three meters sit along the top of the cabinet: Minor, Major and Grand. They pay fixed multiples of the stake rather than running totals, at 10x, 40x and 300x respectively. The Grand is the largest prize the game names.
The combination to chase is a long sticky chain carrying a crystallised high symbol, with the jackpot meters standing as the fixed prizes underneath everything else. When the disco tiles and the stage lights are doing their work, that’s the run the whole cabinet is built around.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
This is a fruit machine in a sequinned jacket. You’d choose it for the build: watching a sticky chain grow while the multiplier panel ticks towards its x5 step is genuinely tense, and a crystallised high symbol stacked into a long run is the one moment where the game earns its lighting rig.
Its strength is that the tail pays: because the multiplier only bites after six respins, a long chain is worth far more than the same wins paid separately, so patience gets rewarded rather than just punished less. Its weakness is the funnel. One wild on one reel decides whether anything happens at all, and the 300x Grand is a modest top prize for a game that trades on accumulation.
It suits classic-slot regulars who enjoy a long build and don’t need a five-figure promise to keep spinning. Big-ceiling chasers will find the studio’s other stages better lit for them. For everyone else, the disco is worth one evening.
