Ticket to Riches Slot Review
You’re strapped into a coral-red seat in a golden-age propeller airliner, the reel set bolted into the riveted fuselage wall ahead of you, three brass-rimmed cockpit dials glowing along the top edge. Ticket to Riches pays almost nothing on arrival: it’s a slot that makes you bank your own bonus, one ticket at a time, before a Collect symbol lets you cash it in.
Collect tickets on the right reels and they decide how many free spins you get, how big the multiplier is, and how many picks you take into the bonus round. It’s a build familiar from Northern Lights Gaming‘s work on Bison Moon Megaways and Unusual Suspects. The engine is a 5×3 grid with 243 ways, medium volatility, 96.05% RTP and stakes from 0.10 to 40.00 per spin. Every ticket you collect is a bet on a departure still to come.
Base Game & Features
Wins pay left to right across up to 243 ways, with matching symbols needing to land on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost one. High symbols can appear stacked in both the base game and free spins, which is what gives the grid its occasional big hits between bonus triggers. With a hit frequency of 23.25%, roughly one spin in four produces something.
Because a way needs only one matching symbol per reel, a full stack of highs on the early reels can turn a modest-looking spin into several simultaneous wins. It’s the only real source of drama in the stretches between Collect symbols, and the stacked highs are doing that job deliberately.
Two special symbols do all the real work, and neither of them pays a thing on its own.
Ticket Symbols and the Bonus Meters
Ticket symbols land as either a 1×1 single symbol worth one token, or a 2×1 stack worth two. Every token feeds one of the three brass dials along the top of the cabinet, and which dial depends entirely on the reel the ticket lands on.
- Tickets on reels 1 or 2 collect into the Last Call Bonus Meter
- Tickets on reel 3 collect into the Free Spins Multiplier Meter
- Tickets on reels 4 or 5 collect into the Free Spins Bonus Meter
The split does more than decorate the cabinet. A 2×1 stack on reel 3 pushes the multiplier dial two steps in a single spin, while the same stack on reel 1 or 2 only fattens your pick count. Where a ticket lands matters as much as how big it is.
The tokens are saved per bet level, so the meters you’ve been filling at one stake stay with that stake. Nothing carries over between features either. Each meter resets at the end of the feature it feeds.
Collect Symbols
Collect symbols can land on reels 1, 2, 4 and 5, and they’re the triggers that cash in everything the tickets have built. Which feature you get depends on where the Collect lands:
- A Collect on reel 1 or 2 launches the Last Call Bonus
- A Collect on reel 4 or 5 launches the Free Spins Bonus
- Reel 3 never carries a Collect, so the middle reel belongs entirely to the multiplier meter
Neither symbol pays on its own. The trigger’s reel position matters as much as its arrival, which keeps every Collect appearance meaningful.
Ticket to Riches Last Call and Free Spins Bonuses
Last Call Bonus
Trigger this with a Collect symbol on reel 1 or 2, and the tokens in the Last Call Bonus Meter become your number of picks. A departure board appears loaded with destinations, each carrying a bet multiplier, and you pick boarding passes to reveal what’s behind them.
Each boarding pass can hold one of three things:
- A destination with its bet multiplier, up to a maximum of x200
- Extra picks, with up to five available across the feature
- A Grand Pass, which adds to the Grand Meter
The departure board’s destinations run from the modest to the serious. Airport codes sit beside their multipliers, and the spread looks like this:
- LHR – x1
- LAX – x2
- ATL – x5
- DEL – x8
- DXB – x10
- MEX – up to x200
Every destination multiplier pays as a multiple of your current bet, so a MEX reveal at maximum stake returns the full x200 of it. The ladder is steep at the bottom and flat in the middle: half the board pays single digits, and only the top rung reaches three figures.
Pick three Grand Passes and you’re awarded the Grand prize of 5000x your bet. That’s the golden ticket, trailed by the banner that runs across the reels in the base game. The round ends when you’re out of picks, and both the meter and the Grand Meter reset ready for the next climb.
Extra picks are the quiet lever in the round. A reveal that adds picks extends the feature without touching the meters, so a lucky start can snowball into a long run at the board, and a Grand Pass is worth chasing only while picks remain to chase it with.
Free Spins Bonus
A Collect symbol on reel 4 or 5 boards you onto the second feature, and here the two remaining meters pay off together. The tokens in the Free Spins Bonus Meter become your number of free spins, with no stated ceiling. The tokens collected on reel 3 become a multiplier that lasts for the whole round and applies to every win.
Bets and ways stay the same as the triggering spin, and the spins play out automatically. Wins during the round are added to anything you’d already won in the base game, and both meters reset when the feature finishes.
That pairing of spin count and multiplier makes reel 3 tickets the most valuable ones in the game. Two meters feeding one feature means every ticket on the right half of the grid is doing double duty, and a round entered with a full multiplier dial and a thin spin count plays very differently from the reverse.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.8/10
Flying with Ticket to Riches means a lot of time in the cabin. You sit in the painted travel-poster glow, watching three brass dials fill one ticket at a time, and the reason you’d pick it over a quicker game is exactly that: the base game always owes you something, and every spin moves a dial.
Its strength is that the whole economy runs on one currency. The same tickets feed every feature, and a Collect symbol can turn twenty spins of patience into a round you built yourself. Its weakness is the departure board: five of six destinations pay single-digit multiples, so the Last Call round gives back less than the meter it drains.
This is one for collectors, players who’d rather build a bonus than be handed one. If you want constant action and instant features, you’ll spend most of this flight looking at the seat in front. But for anyone who likes a slow climb and a 5000x destination on the board, the dials make the wait worth sitting through.
