Triple Cash Eruption Slot Review
A white-hot burst of light blows out of the volcano’s mouth behind the reels, bleaching the sky above while lava seams glow through the carved stone pillars below. For all that fire, what’s actually on the 5×3 grid is cherries, lemons and bells: the paytable is as old-fashioned as it gets, and nearly all of it pays crumbs.
IGT has put the drama somewhere else entirely, in three small painted peaks lined up above the reels and waiting for coloured orbs to wake them. That’s where the real game lives. It shares its format with Triple Cash Eruption The Western, which went west in 2026, and Cash Eruption. Line wins pay left to right.
Base Game & Features
Wins pay left to right across the lines, and every value in the paytable is a multiple of the total bet rather than the line bet, so a 10x line is 10x the whole stake. The numbers are small either way:
- Red orb/seven: 1x for three, 3x for four, 10x for five
- Blue orb/seven: 1x for three, 2.5x for four, 7.5x for five
- Bell: 0.75x for three, 2x for four, 5x for five
- Watermelon: 0.75x for three, 1.5x for four, 3.75x for five
- Blueberries: 0.5x for three, 1x for four, 2.5x for five
- Plum and orange: 0.4x for three, 0.75x for four, 2x for five
- Lemon and cherries: 0.25x for three, 0.5x for four, 1.5x for five
- Wild: 1000x for five in a row
The table splits into three clear bands. The two orb sevens hold the top, with the red paying a third more than the blue at every tier. Below them, the bell and watermelon share the middle band, and the fruit fills out the rest.
Blueberries edge out the plum and orange, which pay identically to each other, and the lemon and cherries close the table. Even the best of the fruit is a modest win. The top of the regular table is still a tenth of what the wild pays.
The wild is the outlier by a distance. It appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, substitutes for everything except the three orb symbols, and five of them across the reels is the single biggest pay in the game.
There’s no reel-one wild, so a full line of them isn’t on the table; four across reels 2 to 5 is the practical ceiling, and the expanding feature is what makes that reachable.
Expanding Wild Feature
After any spin in the base game, a wild landing anywhere on reels 2 to 5 expands vertically and transforms every symbol on that reel into a wild. There are two catches, both sensible ones: the wild only expands if a winning combination is actually possible, and all wins are evaluated once every transformation has finished.
Because the wilds stack a full reel at a time, the feature can turn a modest spin into several lines at once. More than one wild can come down on the same spin, in which case each reel transforms before anything is counted. It’s the one regular-spins moment where the screen genuinely changes character.
Orb Symbols and the Jackpot Ladder
The red, green and blue orbs are the game’s most important symbols, and the wild won’t substitute for any of them. Every orb in view, wherever it lands, flies up to the volcano matching its colour. Position doesn’t matter and no line is needed.
That flight is where the bonus round begins, and it feeds a jackpot ladder that sits beside the reels in the base game, always on show. The steps are fixed multiples of the stake, and they step down steeply:
- Grand: 1000x the bet
- Major: 100x the bet
- Minor: 25x the bet
- Mini: 10x the bet
Each step is a tenth of the one above it, so the Grand sits a hundred times higher than the Minor. The Grand matches the wild’s top pay, which means the two biggest prizes in the game both hinge on reels filling up rather than on the fruit at the bottom of the table.
Triple Cash Eruption Bonus
Every red orb rises to the Multiplier volcano, every green orb to the Collect volcano and every blue orb to the Double volcano. An orb that activates its crest doesn’t just open the bonus; it decides which features the round will carry.
Any combination of one to three volcanoes can be active when the round starts, and it opens with three initial respins. The pairing decides what the round does:
- Red alone: Multiplier feature
- Green alone: Collect feature
- Blue alone: Double feature
- Green and blue: Collect and Double combined
- Green and red: Collect and Multiplier combined
- Blue and red: Double and Multiplier combined
The paired triggers are where the combinations get interesting. Green and red merges Collect with the Multiplier, so whatever the round gathers gets scaled; blue and red puts the Double and the Multiplier on the same respins; green and blue pairs the Collect with the Double. More volcanoes, more features in a single round.
Three awake at once is everything the game has, stacked into one eruption. One awake alone is the quieter end of the scale, and the same trigger can land either way. A round that opens on a single Collect volcano plays a very different game to one carrying all three, and nothing in the base game tells you which you’re about to get until the orbs start flying.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Most of a session here is spent watching a very handsome mountain do nothing. The reels turn, the cherries pay their crumbs, and the reason to stay in the chair is the small chance that a handful of coloured orbs climbs into those three peaks and the whole thing goes up at once. It’s a game of patience dressed in fire.
What it does best is variety: because the bonus can wake with any one to three volcanoes, no two rounds are built the same, and the paired combinations mean the round you get actually plays differently rather than just looking different. What it does worst is reward the wait. The fruit pays a fraction of the stake and the royals pay less, so between triggers there’s genuinely nothing accumulating, and the expanding wild is the only event that breaks up the quiet.
For hold-and-win players who like a long build and don’t need the base game to entertain them, the mountain rewards the patience. Anyone who wants regular line wins to keep a session moving will find the slopes quiet. The fire, when it finally comes, is worth having sat through the smoke for.
