Triple Cash Eruption The Western Slot Review
Triple Cash Eruption The Western bolts its reels into a freight-wagon plank frame and leaves the paying to four playing cards, and that’s the honest deal here: everything above the royals pays nothing as a line win. The guns, hats and dynamite are there to set off safes, not to line up. It’s a bold way to build a 5×3, 20-payline game, and it means the base game lives or dies on what the money bags unlock.
Underneath, it’s a familiar machine. A follow-up to Cash Eruption, which IGT covered in 2026, it runs on locked coins, respin counters and a jackpot ladder rather than anything new. It plays on a 5×3 grid with 20 fixed paylines at 96.30% RTP, alongside Cleopatra and Rainbow Riches in the studio’s better-known company.
The safes on the top rail are what this one is really about. Whether they crack like a stagecoach strongbox or a bank vault is what the rest of this settles.
Base Game & Features
All 20 paylines are fixed, and only the highest combination on each one counts towards a win. The reels mix royal cards with western props: a gun, a hat, dynamite, a horseshoe, a bull skull and money bags, with the money bags carrying the feature triggers.
The royals do the paying. A and K lead the table, Q and J sit just behind them, and the themed symbols don’t pay as line wins at all – their value is in what they set off, not what they line up as.
- A pays 0.40x for three, 0.75x for four, 2.00x for five
- K pays 0.40x for three, 0.75x for four, 2.00x for five
- Q pays 0.25x for three, 0.50x for four, 1.50x for five
- J pays 0.25x for three, 0.50x for four, 1.50x for five
Those are stake multiples, and they set the shape of the base game: even a five-of-a-kind royal line returns twice your bet at best. Wins of that size need the top symbol on a full payline, so most base game returns come from three- and four-of-a-kind card hits paying fractions of the stake.
Wild Reel Transform
The wild is a cowboy figure that lands on reels two to five and turns every symbol on its reel wild, standing in for everything except the three money-bag safes. One wild reel can carry several paylines at once, which is where the base game’s better wins come from.
Because the wild can appear on four of the five reels, a single one can complete card combinations across a wide stretch of the grid at the same time. Two wilds on adjacent reels is the base game’s high-water mark. It’s a simple device, and it’s the only one running outside the bonus.
Triple Cash Eruption The Western Bonus Features & Respins
The bonus is a hold-and-win respin round built around the three safes on the top rail. One to three money-bag safe symbols can start it, and each one that lands switches its matching feature on for the whole round. Three respins begin the count.
The Three Safes
Each safe is colour-coded to its money-bag trigger, and they combine freely – a round can open with one, two or all three running at once. More safes means a busier bonus, and the best rounds run all three together.
- Red Multiplier Safe: at the start of each respin, a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier is revealed. Any gold coin landing on that respin is multiplied by it.
- Green Collect Safe: collects the revealed prizes from the reels.
- Blue Double Reels Safe: expands and duplicates reels during the round.
The red safe is the one that moves the numbers most, because its multiplier applies to whatever lands on that specific respin rather than to the round as a whole. A 5x reveal on a respin that drops two or three coins is worth more than a 2x on a quiet spin. The green and blue safes change the shape of the round instead – one sweeps prizes in, the other spreads the grid out.
Bonus Respins
Every gold coin that lands reveals a cash prize and locks in place for the rest of the round. The possible coin values step up through the ladder below.
- Low tiers: 0.50, 1.00, 2.00, 3.00
- Mid tiers: 4.00, 5.00, 10.00, 15.00
- Top tiers: 20.00, 25.00, 50.00
- Jackpot prizes: Major, Minor or Mini
Each coin also resets the respin counter to three, so a round only ends after three consecutive respins without a single new coin. That reset is the engine of the format: one late coin extends everything.
Filling all 15 positions awards the Grand prize, capped at one per bonus. Locked prizes are cumulative and pay out on top of any Grand, Major, Minor or Mini prize the round has produced, so a full grid collects twice.
The maximum win is whatever a single bonus can stack to: every one of the 15 positions filled with a locked coin, the cumulative total of those prizes, and a single Grand added on top. It’s a round-shaped ceiling rather than a multiplier, which fits a game whose money all sits in one place.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
This is a game of waiting by the wagon for the safes to open. Spins drift past a handsome canyon, the cards pay crumbs, and the reason to sit through that is the three safes stacking in one round – red, green and blue together is where this game keeps all its character.
The strength is that no two bonuses play the same. Which safes open changes what each round does, so the bonus stays interesting longer than the format usually manages. The weakness is the base game: with the themed symbols paying nothing as line wins and a 2.00x ceiling on the best royal, there’s very little happening between triggers, however good the scenery looks.
It suits hold-and-win players who don’t mind a quiet ride between rounds; the patience is the whole price of admission. Players who want regular line wins to keep a session moving will find the canyon quiet. For the rest, the strongboxes are worth the wait.
