Blazing Bonanza Rush Express

Blazing Bonanza Rush Express Slot Review

Gold mining slots usually stop at the pickaxe. Blazing Bonanza Rush Express goes the whole way to the forge and builds its identity around the pour itself: gold straight off the melt, an anvil waiting under the hammer, and bars stacked high enough to earn the bonanza in the name.

The numbers underneath are straightforward. A 5×4 grid carries 20 fixed paylines, the volatility is high, and the 96.50% RTP is the total return, jackpot ladder included. A 29.94% hit frequency puts a winning spin on roughly three attempts in ten, with stakes running from 0.20 to 50.00.

The largest stated prize on screen is the Grand jackpot at 5,000x the stake, the top rung of a ladder that falls away through Major, Minor and Mini.

The build comes from AreaVegas Games.

The Rush Express half of the name is one it shares with Bass Rush Express, the studio’s only other review on these pages. Whether this forge runs hotter than its stablemate is the question the rest of this review sets out to answer.

Base Game & Features

Five reels sit four rows deep, and wins pay on 20 fixed lines running left to right from the first reel. Only the highest combination pays on each line, and line wins are multiples of the line bet. The jackpot ladder holds station down the left edge of the screen on every spin, keeping all four prizes in view.

Symbols and Paytable

The Blazing Bonanza symbol is Wild and substitutes for everything except the Gem symbols, Rush Express symbols, Diamond Multipliers, Bell and Gold Train. It’s also the best payer at the top of a table that reads as multiples of the line bet:

• Wild (Blazing Bonanza): 1x, 2x and 10x for three, four and five of a kind
• Gold Bars: 0.5x, 1x and 5x
• Molten Gold Pour and Pickaxe: 0.25x, 0.5x and 2.5x
• Anvil and Hammer: 0.25x, 0.5x and 2x
• A, K, Q, J and 10: 0.1x, 0.25x and 1x

The forge theme runs right through the table, from the pour to the finished bars, with the royals holding up the bottom end.

Rush Express Feature

Rush Express can fire on any spin, and it needs two things to land at once: a Bell or Gold Train symbol on reel 5, and at least one Rush Express symbol on reels 1 to 4. Those are the only places each appears, which makes reel 5 the one to watch.

The reel 5 symbol decides how the prizes pay out. A Bell awards every Rush Express prize on screen immediately. A Gold Train collects them all to the train parked above the reels, which then pays the total out up to 10 times.

Rush Express Train symbols add the second layer. Each runs a colour-matched Train mini feature to settle its prize value, and the final coloured train car can add a multiplier or award the corresponding coloured jackpot. That final car is the thread tying the feature to the ladder beside the reels.

Jackpot Ladder

Four prizes run down the left of the grid: Grand, Major, Minor and Mini. As multiples of the stake they read 5,000x, 500x, 50x and 20x, with the Grand standing as the largest stated prize the game offers. The coloured train cars inside Rush Express are the route to them.

Blazing Bonanza Rush Express Free Spins

Free Spins arrive through the Gem symbols. When one or more lands, there’s a chance of the round triggering: 10 free spins, played at the same bet and on the same lines as the spin that set them off. There’s no retrigger, so 10 spins is everything you get.

Two things change inside the round. Rush Express fires more often, and the combination of Gem colours collected at the trigger decides which upgrades are switched on.

Gem Upgrades

Each Gem colour carries its own upgrade:

• Green Gem: a Bell or Gold Train is guaranteed on every free spin, covering the reel 5 half of the Rush Express trigger
• Purple Gem: every Bell is upgraded to a Gold Train, swapping the single payout for the collector that pays the total up to 10 times
• Pink Gem: Diamond Multiplier symbols join reels 1 to 4 in 2X, 3X and 5X values, applying to the total of all on-screen prizes whenever Rush Express triggers

There’s no bonus buy in Blazing Bonanza Rush Express, and no other way round the wait. The Gems have to land on their own, and autoplay comes with loss and win limits for anyone planning a longer run.

Our Honest Verdict

Overall Rating: 7.3/10

The base game makes no secret of where the money lives. Line wins top out at 10x for five Wilds, so the paytable exists to keep the balance ticking over while Rush Express and the jackpot ladder do the real work. For a high volatility build, that’s a coherent split rather than a lazy one.

The bonus side is the better half. The Gem upgrades give the 10 free spins a different shape depending on which colours triggered them, and the Gold Train paying the collected total up to 10 times is the biggest single lever in the game. The 10 spins come with no retrigger, which is a tight window for a feature with this much stacked on it.

It won’t suit anyone who sizes a game by its ceiling, because the 5,000x Grand is the only number to chase. Jackpot ladder hunters and fans of Bass Rush Express have plenty to work with here. The pickaxe work pays the bills; the bonanza, if it comes, arrives by train.
