Cluckin’ Sweet Feast Slot Review
The three chicks perched above the reels, baskets ready, are the most important symbols in this game. That’s the whole design in one image: the reels barely do the work, and nearly everything that matters happens when an egg drifts up to the right bird and the bonus round switches on.
Between those moments you’re watching a mountain meadow in full spring, a red-roofed barn past the trees, and card royals spinning by.
Cluckin’ Sweet Feast, created by Red Papaya for the Games Global network, runs on a 5×3 grid with 20 fixed paylines, high volatility, an RTP of 96.20% and a 10,000x max win, with stakes from 0.20 to 25.00 a spin.
It sits on the network shelves alongside Cat Clans 2 Mad Cats and Chili Bonanza XUP. The art is soft; the maths isn’t.
How the Base Game Pays
Wins land on 20 fixed paylines across the 5×3 grid, awarding from left to right. It’s a traditional setup, and the win lines themselves hold no surprises.
The reels carry the card royals, 9 through to A, alongside a ‘W’ tile. The four-tier jackpot ladder sits beside the grid, glistening in the sun that shines in from above the meadow.
The ladder reads as follows:
- Mini: 15x the stake
- Minor: 50x the stake
- Major: 500x the stake
- Grand: 5,000x the stake
Three egg symbols also land in the base game, each colour-matched to one of the chicks above the reels. Collecting one or more of them can trigger the Hold & Win round at random, with the collected egg’s feature carried into it.
There’s no skill to the timing and no meter to fill; the trigger simply fires or it doesn’t. What the eggs do give you is control of a different kind, because which eggs land decides which modifiers the bonus round runs with.
If the round is triggered, it plays out immediately, and any winnings are paid as soon as it concludes. From there it’s straight back to the reels, and the chicks go back to waiting for the next delivery.
The Hold & Win Round
One or more Feature symbols landing and being collected in the base game can set the round off at random. Whichever egg triggered it brings its modifier along, and if all three egg types land together, all three modifiers run at once.
You begin with three lives. Only fixed-value egg icons and special symbols can land here, and any that do lock in place and reset the lives to three. It runs until the lives run out or the board fills, at which point everything on it is totalled and paid.
That lives system rewards streaks rather than single hits. One lucky respin can refill the counter from empty and keep the round breathing, while a slow drip of blanks ends it quickly no matter how full the board already is.
The Connector Feature
Carried by the red and orange egg. While it’s active, every horizontal, vertical or corner-to-corner diagonal line formed on the reels bumps a multiplier up a step, in this order:
- 1x, rising through 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 11x and 12x, one line at a time
- Final step: 15x, a jump of three rather than one
Each step needs a fresh line. A cluttered board full of locked eggs therefore works in the multiplier’s favour, since more symbols in place means more ways for new rows and diagonals to connect.
The Collector Feature
This one arrives with the pink and orange egg, and it adds a Cash Collect symbol to the round: a blue and purple egg with a white flower. Whenever one shows up, it gathers in every value currently on the board, adopts the total as its own, and stays put as a locked tile for the rest of the round.
The timing matters. A Cash Collect egg arriving early hoovers up modest totals and then sits there as a fixed tile; one arriving late can sweep a near-full board in a single go. Either way, its value only ever grows, because later collections add onto what’s already there.
The Jackpot Feature
The green egg with blue spots brings the butterflies, each tied to a tier of the ladder:
- Blue butterfly: Mini, 15x the stake
- Green butterfly: Minor, 50x the stake
- Purple butterfly: Major, 500x the stake
- Orange butterfly: Grand, 5,000x the stake
A landed butterfly leaves the board at the end of the respin and joins a meter, so it doesn’t take up a locked tile. Four of the same colour across the round awards that jackpot, and more than one jackpot can be paid out in a single round.
That meter is what gives a long round its second wind. A respin sequence that keeps landing butterflies is banking jackpot progress the whole time, even when the fixed-value eggs aren’t doing much, so a Grand can arrive on top of an already respectable board total rather than instead of one.
Feature Buy
The round can be bought outright, with a choice of how many modifiers come along for it:
- Hold & Win with one feature, pick your own modifier: 30x the stake
- Hold & Win with two features, choose your combination: 70x the stake
- Hold & Win with all three features: 150x the stake
The single-feature option is the only place in the game where you choose the modifier directly, since base game triggers depend entirely on which eggs happen to land. The three-feature bundle is the full experience, with the collector, connector and jackpot systems all running at once.
The pricing steps up steeply from there. Doubling the modifier count more than doubles the cost, and the all-three bundle at 150x is five times the price of a single-feature round.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.6/10
Playing this is mostly meadow-gazing. The base game is thin by design, and the single reason to sit down at this particular farm is the moment the chicks finally collect the right eggs and a full Hold & Win round takes off.
The strength is that no two rounds play the same. The stackable modifiers genuinely change each other, because a board the collector has fattened gives the connector more lines to climb, and a long round feeds the jackpot meter the whole way through. The weakness is everything outside that round: royals, 20 paylines and a trigger you can’t nudge, which makes the pretty farmyard do a lot of standing about.
It’s for players who like collect-and-lock rounds and don’t mind earning them, and it isn’t for anyone who wants the reels themselves to entertain. The meadow will test your patience; the basket is worth the wait.
