Eye Strike 2 Slot Review
A jackal-headed statue looms at the edge of a purple-lit temple hall, star charts turning faintly in the sky behind a carved stone gateway. Eye Strike 2 asks a lot of patience from anyone standing in that hall, because the paytable that fills the reels pays almost nothing, and every win worth having waits on a single Collect symbol landing in the right company.
The specs: a 6×4 grid with 4,096 ways to win, bets from 0.2 to 200 per spin, and a maximum payout multiplier of 10,000x. No RTP figure is published for this one. TaDa Gaming have built plenty in this mould, including Lucky Macaw 2, 3 Bao Riches and Bison Fortune Coins, which runs the same collect-and-jackpot machinery. The statue beside the reels has seen this routine before.
Ways, Symbols and the Paytable
Eye Strike 2 runs on a 6×4 grid with 4,096 ways to win. Winning symbols pay left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel, and only the highest win on each way counts. It’s the standard ways setup, no surprises in how it resolves.
The Wild appears only on reels 2 to 6 and substitutes for any regular symbol, though not for the collect, cash, jackpot, wheel or scatter icons. Scatter symbols appear on reels 2 to 5 in the base game only. Everything else on the reels is one of ten paying symbols across three tiers.
Payouts are small multiples of the total bet, and the values below are multiples of stake, not line bets:
- Top symbol: 2 pays 0.2x, 3 pays 0.3x, 4 pays 0.4x, 5 pays 1x, 6 pays 2x
- Mid-tier symbols (four of them): 3 pays 0.1x, 4 pays 0.2x, 5 pays 0.5x, 6 pays 1.2x
- Low-tier symbols (five of them): 3 pays 0.05x, 4 pays 0.1x, 5 pays 0.2x, 6 pays 0.25x
Those are thin numbers. Six of the top symbol at maximum bet returns 2x the stake, and the low tier doesn’t reach a third of the bet even at six of a kind.
The regular paytable exists to keep the meter ticking while the collect machinery decides whether a session pays. Nothing on this list is why anybody would spin it.
Collect, Cash and the Jackpot Ladder
The Collect symbol appears only on reels 1 and 6. When it lands together with Cash or Jackpot symbols anywhere on the reels, the value shown on each of those symbols is collected. Every route to a serious win in this game runs through that pairing.
The Cash symbol carries a random win value, awarded when it appears alongside a Collect. The Jackpot symbol works the same way, but carries one of five fixed tiers instead. A GRAND result on the Cash Wheel during the free game instantly awards the GRAND Jackpot.
Those five tiers, as multiples of the triggering bet, are:
- MINI: 5x
- MINOR: 10x
- MAJOR: 25x
- MEGA: 250x
- GRAND: 5,000x
Half the ladder sits at or below 25x, so the MINI and MINOR tiers are really just cash prizes with a name. The GRAND at 5,000x is the one that matters, and a collected GRAND on top of a strong Cash Wheel round is the only realistic route to the game’s 10,000x ceiling.
The Cash Wheel: Transmute, Upgrade and Multiplier
The Wheel symbol is the game’s wildcard. In the base game it arrives locked and only unlocks when it appears together with a Collect symbol. In the free game it’s always unlocked. An unlocked Wheel spins the Cash Wheel once and triggers one of three features.
Transmute
Transmute randomly selects positions on reels 2 to 5 and converts the regular symbol on each selected position, plus every identical regular symbol anywhere on the reels, into Cash or Jackpot symbols. A respin follows.
It’s a direct line from ordinary spins to a screen full of collectable values, and the only one of the three features that works this way.
Upgrade
Upgrade randomly selects positions on reels 2 to 5, then runs a respin with reels 1 and 6 locked. Every Cash or Jackpot symbol that lands during the respin awards another respin, and the chain ends only when none appear.
Once it ends, the Upgrade function promotes Cash symbols to Jackpot symbols, or Jackpot symbols to the next tier up. A respin chain that keeps feeding cash symbols onto the middle reels gives the promotion plenty to work with.
Multiplier
Multiplier works on the same locked-reel respin loop, but afterwards it multiplies the values on all Cash and Jackpot symbols on the reels. If the same position is selected again, the multipliers stack by addition rather than replacing each other.
That stacking compounds across a round: a position selected twice keeps both multipliers, and the values keep growing until the feature resolves.
Free Spins
Three or more Scatter symbols in the base game guarantee the free game. There’s a second route in: each Scatter has a chance to fill an energy meter, and a full meter triggers the free game on its own. The number of spins depends on the trigger:
- 3 Scatter: 10 free spins
- 4 Scatter: 15 free spins
Inside the free game, Wheel symbols are unlocked from the start, so the Cash Wheel fires without needing a Collect. Any position given a special effect keeps that effect until the free game ends, so Transmute, Upgrade and Multiplier zones accumulate rather than expiring. A long round can end with most of the middle reels carrying stacked functions.
Retriggers are built to drip rather than flood. A Retrigger symbol on reel 6 adds one free spin, and the Collect/Retrigger symbol does the same while also collecting any Cash or Jackpot values it appears with. Free spins run at the bet that triggered them.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
This is a waiting game dressed as a temple. Spins go by, the ways pay out crumbs, and then one Collect lands beside a screen full of cash values and a quiet session turns into something entirely different. That’s the reason to pick it: the collect format, done with more moving parts than most.
The free game is the best of it, because the effect positions stick around and a good round keeps building instead of starting over. The cost of that design is everything before it. Locked wheels and a paytable that tops out at 2x mean the interesting parts of this game spend most of a session switched off.
It’s a good fit for anyone who likes the hold-and-collect style and doesn’t need the base game to entertain them. Players who want something happening on most spins will find the temple empty. The statue stays patient, and the game rewards the same quality.
