Go! Fishing: Reelin’ Fortunes Slot Review
A grinning angler in a wide-brimmed hat sits in his little white motorboat, rod arced out over the reels, a red-and-white bobber dangling above a seabed where a battered treasure chest leaks fish. Go! Fishing: Reelin’ Fortunes looks like a lazy afternoon on the water, but it’s built on an unusual idea: almost nothing you do in the base game is wasted. Every Collect that banks a prize also levels up the reel underneath it, so the quiet spins are quietly loading the gun.
That’s the argument this game makes, and Infinity Dragon Studios commit to it. It runs at 96.05% RTP with medium volatility on a 5×3 grid with 20 fixed paylines, and sister titles like Thor: Realms of Fortune and Oinkin’ Fortunes sit in the same catalogue. Stakes run from 0.20 to 20.00 per spin. Time to drop the bobber in.
Base Game & Features
This is a straightforward five-reel, three-row slot. Wins pay left to right across 20 paylines that can’t be adjusted, and only the highest combination on each line counts. If several lines win at once, the totals are summed.
A payline is a pattern of adjacent symbol positions running across the reels, so a winning combination needs matching symbols landing next to each other from the first reel onwards. Line win payouts are based on the initial bet, which is the total bet divided by the payline cost of 20.
Roughly 29.41% of spins produce a win, which for a medium volatility game means a steady drip of small hits rather than long silences broken by one big strike. The reels are stocked with card royals alongside the fishing imagery, so most of that drip comes from modest line wins.
Wilds appear on all reels and substitute for everything except the Scatter, Collect, Cash and Bonus symbols. That’s their whole job, and they do it in the base game and the free spins alike.
Collect Feature
The Collect symbol lands on all reels, and each one awards every Cash and Bonus symbol currently on the grid. Cash values are multiples of the total bet, so a single well-timed Collect can sweep up a screenful of prizes in one go.
Cash and Bonus symbols sit on the reels in both the base game and the features, so there’s always something for a Collect to grab. If more than one Collect lands on a spin, each one pays out the prizes independently. The mechanic is simple, and it feeds everything else the game does.
Catch of the Day!
Two Scatters isn’t a dead spin here. When a pair land, the Fisher can reach out and hook a third Scatter onto reel five, converting a near miss straight into the free spins. It’s a small mercy, and a generous one when it arrives.
The floats sitting at the bottom of the reels aren’t decoration either. Every Collect that lands on a reel levels up that reel’s multiplier, and those multipliers carry straight into the Fishing Bonanza feature. It gives every Collect a second job: banking prizes now, building power for later.
Go! Fishing: Reelin’ Fortunes Bonus Features
Fishing Bonanza Feature
Whenever Collect symbols land, the game can also hand out the Fishing Bonanza at random. Three spins follow, and the whole grid changes character for them.
Only three symbol types remain: Collect, Cash and Bonus. Every prize on the reels gets multiplied by the multiplier sitting underneath its reel, and those multipliers max out at 10x apiece, so a reel you’ve levelled up in the base game pays five times what an untouched one does at the top end.
Each of the three spins plays out on that stripped-back grid. Collects bank the Cash and Bonus symbols in view, the multipliers underneath keep applying to everything they catch, and there’s no retrigger or extension: three spins is the round, and then it’s done.
Bonus symbols carry the fixed prize ladder, and it steps like this:
- Grand Bonus: 500x total bet
- Major Bonus: 40x total bet
- Minor Bonus: 5x total bet
It’s a wide ladder, and the shape of it matters: the Minor at 5x total bet is within reach of an ordinary round, while the Grand at 500x is the game’s biggest stated prize. A Grand landing under a 10x reel multiplier is where the real money lives.
Bets stay the same as the triggering spin, and the feature’s own return accounts for 20.47% of the game’s total 96.05%. The collection animation is purely for show; it doesn’t influence what gets awarded.
Bonus Boost Free Spins
Three or more Scatters award the Bonus Boost Free Spins, and the more you land, the more you get:
- 3 Scatters: 12 free spins
- 4 Scatters: 15 free spins
- 5 Scatters: 20 free spins
The round builds around the Bonus Boost meter sitting above the reels. Every Scatter that lands during play pushes it along, and as it fills, modifiers unlock in sequence:
- Wilds boost: adds two wilds that move randomly on every spin
- Collect boost: adds a Collect symbol that moves randomly each spin
- Cash and Bonus prizes boost: adds one Cash prize that changes value every spin
- Extra Free Spins: awards three more spins
The order is the point. The wilds arrive first and multiply your line wins, the moving Collect comes next to chase the Cash symbols, and the Cash prize boost adds value that reshuffles every spin. Unlock all four and the later spins play very differently to the first.
The free spins carry 13.25% of the total return, and the round retriggers: three, four or five more Scatters during play award another 12, 15 or 20 spins. Bets and lines stay fixed to the triggering spin, and the spins resolve automatically with no choices to make. Wins from the round are added to base game wins on top of anything already banked.
The maximum win is 11,200x the bet.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Most of a session on this one is spent fishing rather than catching. The base game trundles along on small line wins, and the appeal isn’t the trundling; it’s that every Collect is stacking power for a feature you can’t see yet. You’re out there with the angler, patiently baiting the water, and the game trusts you to notice what that patience is buying.
The Fishing Bonanza is the best thing here, because preparation actually pays: a reel you’ve levelled to 10x turns an ordinary prize into a serious one, and three spins is short enough that every catch carries weight. The Bonus Boost round is the weak link by comparison – its meter takes half the round to produce anything, and the first several spins can feel like the base game with better lighting.
For players who enjoy a slow build and a payoff you’ve personally stacked the odds for, this is a rewarding place to spend an evening. Those who want excitement on every spin will find the water calm. But calm water is where the big fish sit, and this one gives you the rod to catch them.
