Indian Call Slot Review
A desert canyon at dusk, purple sky over layered red sandstone, a teepee glowing at one edge and a carved totem pole dissolving into mist at the other. That pole carries more than its share of the design, and that’s true of the whole game: the Wilds, the Scatters and the rituals all turn out to be variations on the same totem idea. Whether that’s elegant economy or one idea run three times is the argument this game invites.
ThunderSpin has gone lush and painted here, framing the 5×4 reels with carved posts, a bleached bull skull and a feathered mask. The maths sits at 96% RTP, stakes run from 0.10 to 200.00 per spin, and the maximum win per spin is capped at 5,000x the bet. Where the studio’s Zeus Riches Megaways took on the gods of Olympus, this one asks the canyon spirits for an answer instead.
Totem Wild Respins
Wins pay for three or more consecutive symbols from the left reel to the right, with only the highest combination on each way counted and simultaneous wins added together. All wins are multiplied by the coin value, and a free spins round’s total is awarded once the cycle completes.
The premium symbols are a male and female elder, an eagle and a wolf, with A, K, Q and J filling out the low end. All values below are multiples of the total bet.
- Wild: 10x, 40x, 100x
- Red Indian (male): 5x, 20x, 50x
- Purple Indian (female): 2.5x, 10x, 25x
- Eagle: 1.5x, 6x, 15x
- Wolf: 1x, 4x, 10x
- A: 0.5x, 2x, 5x
- K: 0.4x, 1.6x, 4x
- Q: 0.3x, 1.2x, 3x
- J: 0.2x, 0.8x, 2x
The Wild is the richest symbol on the board and substitutes for everything except the Scatter. It has a second job, though, and that job is what gives the base game its rhythm.
The Totem Wild
The Totem Wild appears only on reel three in the base game, and if it lands partially visible it nudges to fill the entire reel. Once all winning combinations have been paid, the Totem collects every Wild on screen. Each collected Wild awards one respin, up to a maximum of four from a single spin.
During those respins the Totem Wild stays locked on reel three while no regular Wilds appear, so the feature cannot chain into itself indefinitely. It’s a neat loop: land Wilds, watch them feed the pole, and ride the respins while the full reel of Wilds sits there substituting.
Free Spins and Totem Building
3, 4 or 5 Scatters anywhere on the reels award 8, 10 or 12 free spins respectively. At the start of the round a Totem Wild appears on a random reel and stays there until the feature ends, which immediately makes the round play differently to the base game.
Bonus Scatters appear only during free spins, and each one fills a slot in the active Totem. A Totem has four slots, and filling all of them duplicates the Totem and awards extra spins: the first completed Totem adds three spins, the second adds two, and the third adds one. Up to five Totems can appear in a single feature.
Because every duplicate carries its own locked reel of Totem Wilds, a long round can end with a board stitched together out of sticky wild reels. The scaling is back-loaded, though. The spin awards shrink as the Totems stack up, from three down to one, so the fifth Totem costs the most patience for the least immediate reward.
The sequence of a good round runs like this: the opening Totem locks a reel, Bonus Scatters begin arriving, and the first duplicate lands with three bonus spins attached. From there each additional Totem needs another four filled slots, so the board fills gradually rather than all at once. Nothing in the round resets between spins, which is what lets the wild reels accumulate.
Spirit Rituals Bonus Game
When no Totem Wild is present, Spirit Energy from Wild symbols charges two meters, and the reel position decides which one. Wilds landing on reels 4 and 5 feed the Lesser Ritual, the Skull, which needs four Spirit Symbols and carries eight Rune Multipliers.
The Greater Ritual, the Mask, is charged by Wilds on reels 1 and 2, and it asks for less: three Spirit Symbols, rewarded with eleven Rune Multipliers. Complete either Ritual and its bonus game triggers.
Complete both in the same spin and you get the Twin Spirit Ritual instead, with two Spirit Symbols and fourteen Rune Multipliers, the richest of the three. During the free spins trigger, Wilds fill the Totem Wild rather than charging the Rituals, so the two systems never compete.
The Bonus Game Itself
All Spirit Symbols and Ritual Runes are placed on the board before the round begins, each cell hiding its own content. You pick cells until three matching Spirit Symbols are revealed, and every Rune Multiplier uncovered along the way is applied to the winning Spirit Symbol.
Every choice directly affects the final reward, which gives the round a genuine pick’em structure rather than a passive reveal. The end arrives quickly, though: three matching symbols is the finish line, and the round stops there.
Buy Bonus
Indian Call offers a full buy menu. The purchase price is based on the current total bet and updates automatically whenever the stake changes. Buying doesn’t reset any progress meters or counters, so ritual charge built organically survives the purchase.
Every option runs at 96% RTP, the same as the base game.
- Free Spins: guarantees a trigger with a randomly awarded 3, 4 or 5 Scatters
- Bonus Games: Lesser, Greater or Twin Spirit Ritual, started directly
- Random Bonus Game: starts a random Spirit Ritual
Being able to buy straight into the Twin Spirit Ritual is the interesting entry point, since that is the combination the base game makes you work hardest for. The Random Bonus Game option is the cheap-thrills alternative, handing the choice to the game itself.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
This is a game you play for the build, not the hit. The reason to sit down at this particular fire is the totems: every round nudges towards another locked wild reel, and the canyon fills up slowly while you wait. It rewards patience in a way most five-reel games don’t bother trying.
The strength is that the free spins round compounds. Nothing resets, so a long feature keeps every wild reel it has earned, and the fifth Totem is a genuinely different board to the first. The weakness is the pick’em: it ends on the third matching symbol, every time, and after the slow burn of the totems that feels like being handed your coat.
If you like sticky features that stack and a session with a long shape to it, this one will keep you warm. Players who want their bonus rounds fast and final will find the pace grinds. There’s real craft in the canyon, and it belongs to the patient.
