Kings of Crystals III POWER COMBO: King Millions Slot Review
Kings of Crystals III POWER COMBO: King Millions spends almost nothing on the spin in front of you and everything on the spins you’re waiting for. Behind its castle on a misty autumn hillside, the reels themselves pay a thin 5x for the best line, while three separate metres quietly bank wheel symbols, jackpot coins and King Millions tokens. Most slots pay you as you go; this one keeps the ledgers instead.
The board is a plain 5×4 with 40 paylines, medium volatility, and a total return of 90.50% once the 4.50% jackpot contribution is counted in, with bets running from 0.20 to 20.00 a spin. It follows Kings of Crystals and Kings of Crystals II Power Combo in the All For One Studios catalogue. Our earlier run at 3 Powers of Zeus: POWER COMBO found the combined rounds worth the wait, and this one keeps that chassis while bolting a progressive jackpot layer on top of it.
Power Spins
Wins run left to right across the 40 fixed paylines, and only the highest combination counts on each line. The wild appears on reels two to five, substitutes for everything except the Scatters, Hourglass, Coin and Wheel symbols, and doesn’t pay on its own.
The top of the paytable, in multiples of the total bet:
- Golden King: 5x for five, 1x for four, 0.5x for three
- Red King: 2.5x for five, 0.5x for four, 0.3x for three
Any base game spin can turn into a Power Spin, and the power that arrives decides what that spin does. Three of them exist, one for each colour of crystal.
Wild Power
Sticky wilds drop into random positions on reels two to five, and the number added matches the value on the Wild Power icon. They hold for the spin, which is enough to turn a quiet board busy.
Jackpot Power
Between two and five Coin symbols land, and each one pays a cash prize. The coins can also come in colours, and those feed the jackpot containers during free spins.
- Coin cash prize: 1x the bet
- Coin cash prize: 2x the bet
- Coin cash prize: 3x the bet
- Coin cash prize: 5x the bet
- Coin cash prize: 10x the bet
Multiplier Power
A 2×2 Multiplier Zone switches on, and any winning payline that crosses it is multiplied by the value on the Multiplier Power icon – provided at least one winning symbol sits inside the zone. The multiplier applies once per win, not per symbol.
A Boost switch raises the stake by 20% and improves the odds of triggering free spins without touching the payouts. Base play, with or without Boost, returns 86%; the remaining 4.50% of the 90.50% total is the jackpot contribution.
The Fortune Wheel
Wheel symbols land only in the base game, never more than one per spin, and five of them trigger the Fortune Wheel. The wheel pays out exactly one thing: a jackpot, a cash prize, a free spins trigger, or an UP symbol.
UP symbols grow the free spins powers. Blue grows Multiplier Power by two, red grows Wild Power by two, and green increments two jackpots for Jackpot Power. Landing an UP is quiet in the moment and loud later.
Every Wheel symbol also drops into a level container of five positions. Each time the wheel pays out, its prizes climb to the next level and become more valuable, and once every container is full the prizes stay at the top level. A jackpot won on the wheel resets to its minimum afterwards.
Free Spins and the Power Combo
Three coloured Scatters – red, green and blue – can each trigger their own free spins, and different colours landing on the same spin combine. Five spins are awarded either way, played on a 5×6 grid with 60 paylines at the triggering bet, and the rounds run automatically. An Hourglass on reels two to four awards an extra spin; it’s red when Multiplier Power is off and blue when it’s on.
Wild Power Free Spins
Sticky wilds are placed in random positions when the round starts and stay until it ends, and any wild that lands during the round becomes sticky too. Red Scatters in the base game can grow the starting count up to ten, which resets to three once the round finishes.
Jackpot Power Free Spins
Each Coin can reveal a cash prize or a coloured coin, and the coloured coins fill four containers. Five red coins pay the Grand, five purple the Major, five green the Minor, and four blue the Mini. The ladder they feed:
- Grand: 10,000x total bet, fixed
- Major: starts at 250x, grows by 50x, caps at 500x
- Minor: starts at 20x, grows by 10x, caps at 70x
- Mini: starts at 10x, grows by 5x, caps at 35x
Green Scatters in the base game can randomly raise the Mini, Minor or Major; the Grand can’t be raised. All values reset to their minimums once the round is done.
Multiplier Power Free Spins
A 1×3 Multiplier Zone is placed at random when the round starts, and at the beginning of each spin it expands until it covers the whole grid. The multiplier starts at whatever level the base game reached and can grow to 25x, climbing each time a blue Hourglass lands. It resets to 3x after the round.
Pair the Scatters and you get two powers at once. Land all three and the round becomes a Power Combo, with Wild Power, Jackpot Power and Multiplier Power running together on the expanded grid – the one configuration where everything this game has been collecting pays off at the same time.
King Millions and the Progressive Jackpots
Wilds in the base game sometimes carry a King Millions token, and every token collected buys another roll of the dice on a second wheel. That Bonus Wheel holds two progressive jackpots, Grand or Major, alongside cash prizes between 7x and 100x the bet. Only one feature can fire on a given spin.
The chance of the progressive hitting climbs with the bet size, but the progressive wins themselves are independent of the stake. A minimum bet can land the same Grand as a maximum one, and the current values tick live in the header. The game’s own information screen states you can win over 10,000x your bet on a single spin, the same value as the fixed Grand jackpot.
That ceiling is honest about what this game is. The fixed jackpot ladder tops out at 10,000x, the progressives sit on top of the maths separately, and the 4.50% contribution is the price of admission to both.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
Sitting here is mostly sitting in the shadow of that castle, watching metres fill. The reels give you the odd 0.5x line and not much else, but every spin is banking something – wheel symbols, coloured coins, a King Millions token – and that steady accumulation is the one reason to choose this over a dozen prettier five-reelers.
The full Power Combo round is the best thing in the game by a distance, because every metre you’ve been feeding cashes out at once and the 25x multiplier can land on top of it. Five spins is stingy, but Hourglasses stretch it. The weakness is everything either side of that round: the paytable is flat, and 90.50% all-in is thin once the jackpots have taken their 4.50%.
It suits patient players at gentle stakes who like progress that survives between features, not anyone who wants the reels themselves to pay the rent. The kings hoard their crystals here, and the reward goes to whoever’s willing to wait out the siege.
