Party Gods Slot Review
Zeus is poolside in blue sunglasses, gold cup raised, bunting strung between the marble columns while a trident-carrier dozes by the flowerbeds. Party Gods is at its best when it stops being polite about Olympus, and the mischief in the artwork runs deeper than decoration: the game pays by counting symbols anywhere on the board, so the whole party is one scoring area.
Greentube have built it as a scatter-pays game rather than a lined one, and that choice does more work here than the dressing does. It runs on a 6×5 board where symbols pay from anywhere, stakes run from 0.20 to 100.00 per spin, and an Ante Bet doubles the chance of reaching the free games. The studio’s other recent outings include Bursting Buffalo Pots, Candy Monster and Flaming Devil.
Scatter Pays on a 6×5 Board
Party Gods doesn’t have paylines in the usual sense. Every symbol is a scatter, and a win is formed purely by how many copies of it land anywhere on the board at once. Position doesn’t come into it, which is why a 6×5 grid with thirty positions works: the whole board is one scoring area.
Three bands cover the whole ladder. A cluster of 8-9 identical symbols pays the lowest rate, 10-11 pays the middle rate, and 12 or more pays the top rate, with anything above twelve capped at the twelve-symbol value. Only the highest combination counts per symbol, and per scatter combination on the board.
Spins are straightforward otherwise. The total bet is set before each round with a single control, the stake is deducted when the round starts, and any win is displayed at the end of it. Each round is independent of the last, and outcomes are randomly determined with no carry-over between spins.
An Auto button runs automatic spins, turning green while active, and pressing it again brings them to a stop. A session is yours alone, too: this is a single-player game, and other players’ activity has no effect on yours.
Because wins are counted rather than lined, mixed clusters of different symbols can pay out in the same round. A spin that lands eight K symbols alongside nine of the 10 pays both, with the two totals added together on the console at the end of the round. Wins of different sizes stack the same way, so a busy board can return several small pays at once.
Symbols and Pays
Values are multiples of the total bet, and the themed symbols sit comfortably above the royals. The full ladder:
- Red Drink – the top payer, at 50x for 12 or more, 25x for 10-11 and 10x for 8-9
- Green Dragon – 25x for 12+, 10x for 10-11, 2.5x for 8-9
- Pink Flip-Flop – 15x at the top band, 5x for 10-11, 2x for 8-9
- Blue Glasses – pays 12x, 2x and 1.5x across the three bands
- A – the best royal, worth 10x for 12+, 1.5x for 10-11 and 1x for 8-9
- K – 8x, 1.2x and 0.8x from top band to bottom
- Q – 5x for 12+, with 1x and 0.5x below it
- J – 4x at the top, dropping to 0.9x and 0.4x
- 10 – the floor of the table, at 2x, 0.75x and 0.25x
The Bonus symbol is the one to watch. It pays as a scatter in its own right, at 3x for four, 5x for five and 100x for six, and each one that lands is collected towards the free games. Four is the number that matters.
There’s a steep drop after the top two themed symbols. The Pink Flip-Flop and Blue Glasses sit in the middle, and from A downwards the table flattens out, with the 10 paying a quarter of the Red Drink’s value at every band.
The bands themselves reward volume disproportionately. Doubling a cluster from eight to twelve of the 10 lifts the pay from 0.25x to 2x, an eight-fold rise for half again as many symbols. On the Red Drink the same climb runs from 10x to 50x, so it’s the big clusters, not the frequent ones, that do the paying.
Free Games
The free games are triggered by collecting four Bonus symbols. A counter tracks progress across the top of the reels, filling in bonus icons one at a time, and the fourth one starts the feature. The game keeps the build visibly in front of you, which suits a scatter-pays format where there are no lines to follow.
Because the Bonus symbols land as scatters, they count from anywhere on the board, so the collection doesn’t depend on them lining up. Four in a corner, four spread across all six reels: both reach the same trigger. Only the count matters.
The free games then take over from there.
Ante Bet
Alongside the standard stake there’s an Ante Bet, toggled on or off from the base game. With it active, the stake rises to 1.25 per spin at the minimum setting, and the reward is a doubled chance of triggering the free games.
It’s a route-buy rather than a paytable change: the symbols pay exactly what they always did, and only the odds of reaching the bonus move. Players who want the collection counter filling faster are the ones it’s built for.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
This is a game of accumulating, and it knows it. You play for the sight of the Bonus counter creeping towards four and of the themed symbols stacking up anywhere they like, with the poolside gods presiding over it all. The strongest thing here is that everything is visible: no lines to decode, just symbols counted on an open board.
The flattest thing is the paytable beneath it. Two themed symbols are worth chasing and the rest slide into small change quickly, so the middle of a session can feel thin. That’s the honest cost of the cheerful surface.
It suits players who enjoy the build more than the eruption, and a long summer afternoon by this particular pool is a fine way to spend one. Chasers of headline-size hits will want a deeper ladder than this one offers.
