Tropical Bonanza Base Game and Features

Tropical Bonanza is a 6 reel slot with a Scatter Pays mechanic. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to land 8 or more of the same symbol types in any non-adjacent position on the reels. The minimum bet available here is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€200 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

Like many other slots, Tropical Bonanza has a Tumble feature. Each time a winning combination is formed, all winning symbols will be removed from the reels and new symbols will fall down via a Tumble. Once a Tumble occurs, there is a chance it will create even more winning combinations.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Tropical Bonanza is the Carambola Fruit, followed by Pitayas, Passion Fruit, Watermelons and Papayas. Low-paying symbols fall to Coconuts, Pomegranates, Kiwis and Bananas. There are no Wild symbols present in Tropical Bonanza, but there are Scatters and Multiplier symbols available.

Extra Juice Bet

Before you can indulge in Tropical Bonanza you will be given the choice to activate the Extra Juice Bet.

Activating the Extra Juice Bet doubles your chance of triggering the Free Spins round, but this will increase your current bet by 25% for every spin.

Happy Hour Modifiers

During any random spin in the base game, one of the following Happy Hour Modifiers can be awarded.

• Free Shots – Awards between 1 and 6 shots can be added to the Cocktail Glass on the right of the reel set. If the shots fill the Cocktail Glass to the top, the Free Spins round will automatically trigger.
• Fruit Multiplier – A random Fruit Multiplier of x2, x3, x4, x5, x8, x10 or x20 can be added to the reel set. Only 1 Fruit Multiplier can be awarded during this feature.

From time to time you will catch a glimpse of Mr Crab who will appear at the bottom of the reel set. Mr Crabs’ job is to signal to players that a big win of x20 or more or the Free Spins round is imminent.

The Free Spins round can be triggered by either filling the Cocktail Glass to the top with 6 consecutive wins, or by landing 3 Scatters in any position on the reels. Once the Free Spins round is triggered, you will be awarded 8 Free Spins.

Similar to the base game modifier, Fruit Multipliers are in play during this round and they certainly pack more of a fruit punch here than they did in the base game, with Multipliers up to x100 available! If more than one Fruit Multiplier is present at any time during Free Spins, they will add together and be applied to all current wins.

Each time a Scatter lands in any position on the reels, +1 Free Spin is awarded.

Tropical Bonanza: Our Verdict

With so many summer-themed slots on the market, providers will need to pull something pretty special out of the bag if they want their slot to stand a chance, and that’s exactly what iSoftBet has done here.

Although iSoftBet chose a particularly common theme for Tropical Bonanza, it wouldn’t be wise to write it off just yet.

As far as gameplay is concerned, Tropical Bonanza is a pleasure to play. If you’re in a country where Bonus Buys are prohibited, you’re gonna have a little grind on your hands in order to land the Free Spins round but its certainly worth it.

The Free Spins round may be a tricky one to pin down but it’s been made a lot easier thanks to the Happy Hour Modifiers. Whether or not iSoftBet got their inspiration from Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza is anyones guess but if you’re a big Sweet Bonny fan, you will no doubt love Tropical Bonanza.

Tropical Bonanza might not be a completely original cluster pays game. There’s certainly inspiration from somewhere with hints of other slots mixed to make the cocktail that is this one, but we’re suckers for a stunning beach, a bit of a sun and a cheeky cocktail.

Overall, Tropical Bonanza probably won’t top the charts as iSoftBet’s greatest invention, but it’s a feel-good slot with a lot to offer given the chance.
