3 Pots of Aladdin Slot Review
A moonlit terrace above an Arabian city of domes and minarets, lit in deep blues and gold: Tom Horn Gaming‘s 3 Pots of Aladdin paints its world thickly, and the paint is the best thing about the base game. This is a compact 3×3 release where almost everything interesting has been pushed into one hold-and-win style bonus, and the variety of that bonus is the reason to give it a spin.
The essentials are plain: 95.07% RTP, a 3×3 grid and five winlines paid from left to right. Giza’s Portals covers similar compact territory for the same studio. The Grand Jackpot, at 500x the bet, is the biggest fixed prize, and the coins and jackpots are the whole story on payouts.
Base Game & Features
The base game is a straight five-line affair on three reels. Three genie lamps perch on a gilded ledge above the reel arch, a green one at the left, a large ornate gold one in the centre, a small blue one at the right. Live flames flicker in braziers tucked behind the frame’s lower corners.
It’s rich work, painted storybook-Orientalist rather than photoreal. Seven symbols carry all of the base pays, and every one of them pays on a three-of-a-kind line.
The character symbols give the reels their faces, with the crowned King, Jasmine and the turbaned Vizier sitting above the four royals.
- King (crowned man): 3 of a kind pays 16x
- Jasmine: 3 of a kind pays 8x
- Vizier (turbaned man): 3 of a kind pays 8x
- A: 3 of a kind pays 4x
- K: 3 of a kind pays 2x
- Q: 3 of a kind pays 1x
- J: 3 of a kind pays 0.5x
Five winlines evaluated left to right is the whole mechanic. On a 3×3 grid that means nine positions feed five lines, so the action is quick. Only the highest combination on a line counts.
The real cast of the game is the coins. Red, Green and Blue Coins land on the base reels, and any single one of them is enough to open the bonus round. The colour combination that triggers it decides what the round can do, and there are seven combinations to hit.
- Red Coin alone
- Green Coin alone
- Blue Coin alone
- Red + Green in one spin
- Red + Blue in one spin
- Green + Blue in one spin
- All three Coins at once

How the Round Works
However it’s triggered, the round plays out the same way at heart. The triggering Coin or Coins transform into Value Coins locked in place on a fresh 3×3 grid, with the base game symbols cleared away entirely, and three respins are granted. Every new symbol that lands sticks to the grid and resets the respin counter back to three.
The round ends when three respins pass without a new symbol, or when the grid fills. Cash values on all locked coins are counted into the total win at the end. Fill all nine positions with bonus symbols and the Grand Jackpot is awarded on top.
The Three Coin Powers
Each colour adds its own special symbol to the grid, and the trigger decides which are in play.
- Red Coin, alone: a Jackpot Bonus where only Value Coins and Jackpot Coins appear. A Jackpot Coin awards one of three prizes: the Mini, the Minor or the Grand.
- Green Coin, alone: a Collector Bonus. A Collector Coin gathers the values of every Value Coin on the grid, and multiple Collectors in one spin each gather independently.
- Blue Coin, alone: a Multiplier Bonus. MULTIPLIER Coins from x2 to x10 apply their value to all existing Value Coins, and several multipliers can stack onto the same coins.
Two-Coin Combinations
Land two different Coins in one spin and the round combines their powers. The pairs are:
- Red + Blue: Jackpot Coins and MULTIPLIER Coins share the grid, though multipliers never touch the jackpot prizes.
- Red + Green: Jackpot Coins and Collector Coins together; the Collector gathers Value Coins but leaves jackpot prizes alone.
- Green + Blue: the most intricate pairing. Multipliers apply to the Value Coins first, the Collector then gathers the multiplied values, and finally the multiplier applies to the Collector itself.
Super Hold & Win
One Red, one Green and one Blue Coin in the same spin opens the full game: Value, Jackpot, Collector and MULTIPLIER Coins all in play from the first respin. The resolution order matters here. When a Collector, a MULTIPLIER and a Jackpot Coin land together, the multipliers hit the Value Coins first, the Collector gathers the multiplied totals, and the multiplier then boosts the Collector itself. Jackpot values stay untouched throughout.
It’s a tight design. Nine positions, three respins and three interacting powers give the round real texture without a single rule a reader has to read twice.
Bonus Buy
Two purchases skip the wait. The standard HOLD & WIN Bonus Buy costs 50x total bet and starts a round with up to three special Coins. The Super Buy at 120x guarantees the Super Hold & Win with all three powers live from the off.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
This is a game of one idea, and it’s a good one. The base game is a holding pattern: tiered pays, five lines, three reels, and nothing to do but wait for a coin. What makes that tolerable is that the coin you’re waiting for changes the round you get, from a simple jackpot chase to a collector-and-multiplier puzzle, and the two-coin and three-coin versions stack the powers in a resolution order worth learning.
The strength is that variety: seven bonus variants off one 3×3 grid is generous engineering. The weakness is everything around it: 95.07% sits below the current norm for this kind of release.
It suits players who like a small, fast game where the bonus does the work and the base reels are just the door to it. Chasers of big ceilings should look elsewhere, with the Grand Jackpot the only stated summit. For a three-reel pocket game with a lamp-lit view, though, 3 Pots of Aladdin rubs up nicely.
3 Pots of Aladdin FAQs
-
How does the Hold & Win bonus trigger?
Landing a single Red, Green or Blue Coin triggers it, as does any pair of Coins or all three at once. The colour combination that triggers the round decides which special symbols appear inside it. -
What is the Super Hold & Win and how do you get it?
It’s the full bonus round, triggered by landing one Red, one Green and one Blue Coin in the same spin. Value Coins, Jackpot Coins, Collector Coins and MULTIPLIER Coins can all appear, with all three powers active from the first respin. It can also be bought directly through the Super Buy. -
What do the Green Collector and Blue Multiplier coins do?
A Collector Coin takes the values of every Value Coin on the grid for itself. A MULTIPLIER Coin, ranging from x2 to x10, boosts the values of all Value Coins present. The order of operations is fixed in mixed rounds: the boost lands on the Value Coins first, the Collector then takes those boosted totals, and the boost finally lands on the Collector too. -
Can you buy the bonus on 3 Pots of Aladdin?
