Action Boost SpinUP Knight’s Ascension Slot Review
A white-stone castle sits on a green rise, its blue turrets half-lost in fat summer clouds, and three heraldic pennants hang down the side of the screen in green, crimson and purple. Those pennants are the most honest thing on screen: Action Boost SpinUP Knight’s Ascension barely pretends its reels matter, paying a capped 5x for a full line of its best symbol while saving every real win for the coins collecting above them.
It’s a SpinPlay Games title in the same mould as Action Boost Max Loot and Action Boost Amber Island 2, running a 5×4 grid with 20 paylines, 96.49% RTP, medium-high volatility and stakes from 0.20 to 40.00. The kingdom’s riches sit in the chests, not on the paylines.
Base Game & Features
The base game plays 20 fixed paylines across a 5×4 grid, running left to right from the first reel. Wins pay when matching symbols land adjacent on a payline, and only the highest combination pays per line.
Sword symbols are the wilds. They substitute for everything except the bonus symbols, they stack on all reels, and they can form their own winning combinations. That stacking matters more than it usually would, for reasons the Green round makes obvious.
The paytable keeps things modest at the top and thin at the bottom:
- Knight – 0.5x, 1x, and 5x your line bet for three, four, and five
- Horse, Falcon – 0.25x, 0.5x, and 2.5x for three, four, and five
- Axe, Arrows/Quiver – 0.25x, 0.5x, and 2x for three, four, and five
- A, K, Q, J, 10, 9 – 0.1x, 0.25x, and 1x for three, four, and five
Gold Coins and the Flag Spin
Coins are the engine of the whole game. Green, red and purple coins collect into the matching chest above the reels whenever they appear. Gold Coins collect to the Gold Crown instead, and each one carries a chance of triggering the Flag Spin feature.
A Flag Spin activates every flag at once and awards a single spin of them. Whatever coins land on that spin determine which free spins round you get. Each coin can carry no upgrades, one upgrade, or two, and the upgrade count is the whole texture of the bonus: it’s the difference between a basic round and one that’s been fed twice.
Action Boost SpinUP Knight’s Ascension Free Spins & Bonus Features
Whenever one or more coins appear, there’s a chance the free spins trigger directly, and the combination of colours collected decides which round you play. Land more than one colour on a single spin and you get them all at once. Each round awards 10 free spins and keeps the bet multiplier of the game that triggered it.
Green Coin: Expand Reels, Nudge Wilds
The Green round is the showpiece. All reels grow to a height of six symbol positions, the paylines double to 40, and any reel showing a Wild gets nudged until every position on it is wild. Wins pay after the nudges, so a single stacked wild can become a full reel of them.
Every Gold Coin in the round awards a bonus credit prize or a Flag Spin. The Flag Spin here pays out a credit prize, upgrades a symbol to Knight for the remaining spins, or upgrades the feature itself. Each upgrade adds extra wilds to the reels on the following spin for the rest of the round, and the feature can be upgraded twice.
Red Coin: The Shield Jackpots
The Red round is the jackpot collector. Gold Coins award Shields, credit prizes, or Flag Spins, and the shields stack towards five tiers:
- 7 Gold Shields – MEGA jackpot
- 6 Red Shields – MAXI jackpot
- 5 Purple Shields – MAJOR jackpot
- 4 Blue Shields – MINOR jackpot
- 3 Green Shields – MINI jackpot
Complete a set and that jackpot pays, then the shields for it reset, so a single good round can collect more than once. Flag Spins in this round award shields, credit prizes, a jackpot boost that raises a jackpot’s value for the remaining spins, or a feature upgrade.
Each of the two possible upgrades cuts every shield requirement by one for the rest of the round. Three shields for a MINI instead of four is a real shift in pace.
Purple Coin: The Climbing Multiplier
The Purple round is the multiplier game. It starts at 2x on all line wins and credit prizes, and each of the two possible upgrades pushes it higher: one takes it to 3x, two take it to 5x.
Gold Coins here award one or two free spins, a credit prize, or a Flag Spin. The Flag Spin can pay out up to three additional spins.
Multiple Coins: Everything at Once
Land more than one coin colour on a single base spin and the free spins run with every triggered feature active together. The Purple multiplier applies to all line wins and credit prizes across the combined round, but never to the jackpots.
Every feature upgrade awarded during the round adds two extra spins, which is where the long combined rounds come from. That stacking is the whole appeal: a Green nudge round running alongside a boosted jackpot ladder and a climbing multiplier, all fed by the same Gold Coins.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Most of your time in this kingdom is spent watching three chests and a crown, waiting for the coins that matter while the reels tick over with wins that barely cover the spin. That’s not a complaint so much as the shape of the thing: nobody comes here for the paytable, they come because the chests open into three genuinely different games.
And the variety is real. A full reel of nudged wilds on a grown grid, a shield ladder that resets and pays twice, a multiplier that climbs to 5x, and a round that can run all three at once. The frustration is that you never pick which one you get, and the trigger is a coin landing and then a chance on top of it.
It suits collectors, jackpot hunters and anyone who enjoys watching systems stack more than they enjoy the spin button. Anyone chasing big line wins will find the castle cupboards bare. For the patient, the treasure’s all up in the chests.
