Introducing the Slotometer

You’ll probably have noticed that each of our slot reviews has a score out of 10. If you’re into at-a-glance stats then it makes it easy to know what we really think, without having to read a whole review.

While the single score is simple – the way we reach it isn’t. We score slots based on a number of different criteria and then put these individual scores into the Slotometer (we’ll be honest, it’s just a spreadsheet). This helps us to generate a fair, unbiased score for every single slot game we review.

Risk, Reward, and Technical Criteria

The balance between volatility, RTP, and potential payouts. Does the reward fairly match the level of risk involved? We look for slots where the maths makes sense.

Features & Bonuses

The quality, variety, and fairness of in-game features. Are the bonus rounds engaging, well-structured, and rewarding, is there enough going on in terms of mechanics and features to keep things interesting.

Longevity

Whether the slot has staying power. Will it keep players coming back months later, or does it fade into obscurity after a few sessions?
